You're supposed to leave the wrapper ON.
The cellophane wrapper is where all the nuance comes from. The thick, black smoke from the cello wrapper is intended to intermingle with the regurgitated filler to provide a unique smoking experience.
Try another one and leave the wrapper on. You'll be pleasantly surprised!!!
