For humidifiers, I would definitely go with a Paradigm. It's a little more expensive than your average humidifier, but it will last up to 3 months keeping the RH at 70% and if there is ever a problem with it the manufacturer offers a lifetime warranty. There are several sizes you can choose from so you can fit your humidor with it. (

Hygrometer: Definitely go for a digital, any will do. I just find it easier to read and a bit more accurate than any analog. (
