I too get this question from my 4 & 5 yr olds. They have gotten the smoking is bad for you stuff; my 5 yr old from school. Anyway, my wife smokes cigarettes, and they know they are bad for her.

She's trying to quit now, but a but it is hard for the kids to understand the difference between cigarettes and cigars. They understand that some drinks are "grown up" drinks and that some grown ups smoke. That much get. Good luck.

BTW, it's hard to think about some guy coming over to date my daughter (4) someday. That said I have a healthy firearm collection and I'm about 6'6" & 295. I promise you I will find a number of ways to put the fear of God into some poor kid's soul.
