The problem comes when he becomes expected to do these things by fans and media alike and it starts getting announced and he can no longer do it because he wants to. Its hard to go out in public and do those things when people know you are supposed to be there and hound you to get autographs/pictures whatever. I understand why big name athletes barely leave their homes because they can't do things they want to do without someone following them to the bathroom or interupting their dinner with their wife/girlfriend.  |
