So to be honest I may be the wrong one to give advice... I like poker chips. The bottom line to me I guess is it doesn't matter, as long as you are playing. But there are some nicer feeling and sounding chips out there.
These are a nice set, I have some samples of these. I was going to print labels and make my own custom set. The boys do that alot.
This is a good place for some research if you want to read a few reviews. I liked right to the injection molded stuff as I think that is what you are looking for.

Just to straight up kill you you can have a 300 pc custom set of ceramic chips for a little over $300. These are not Chipco (like in the casinos) but there are SWEET!!
