Default Good news at the doctor today.

I went and saw my neurologist today, and got some good news for a change.
I have this ridiculous disease called Isaac's Syndrome, most of you guys already know. It's gotten really bad in the last couple years.
The doc added a new drug therapy back in October, and I've gone into remission aside from my monthly bad peaks that have always happened. Even those are far less severe than they were.
I've responded so well that I'm now going to stop taking one of my meds gradually over the next three months. The doc says that stopping those meds should allow the new meds to work even better, or at least that's his hope. There's no assurance at all about what will happen because he's got no frame of reference. I'm the first tard who's ever been treated with these meds for my problem. It was something I suggested after lots of reading, and being as I hadn't responded to any treatments for years, he figured anything was worth a shot. Now they're all excited. So much so that there were three people in the office for my visit, plus I didn't catch hell for being late.
I also passed my tests this time and now I don't have to get all my plasma swapped out. I never looked into what exactly happened with the plasma exchange therapy, so I'm not sure what I weaseled out of, but I couldn't imagine it being all that pleasant. Had I looked it up, I'd have been a nervous wreck.
Now I just get more tests (only one page full this time) and I go back in July and we gauge the progress. Lisa says I'm worlds better than last year at this time, and she's the one who takes care of me, so I'm sure she's right.
All that was just to say Thank You to all of you for all your prayers and support along the way, and to Thank God. His Grace and Glory are boundless, ceaseless, and ever amazing. If not for His Love for me, I'd have pulled the plug long, long ago.
