You are too worked up over this.
To me, while I don't use them, I can understand their use as a shortcut when typing. I would argue that is how they have all evolved.
After all, these words are all "written" by most.
Not everyone types at secretarial speeds as I happen to be able to.
Here is the really sick part, expect them all to be part of the dictionary at some point. I remember when "ain't" was something anyone with any education would not use. Today, it is in the dictionary. Go figure.
