I kept a basket filled with candy outside with me and was smoking sitting in a chair in front of the garage and when kids would arrive I would set my cigar down and meet them at the end of the driveway. It's not like I was blowing smoke in the kids faces. Hey, if the parents did not like that I was smoking while handing candy out they could have bypassed my house. No worse than over 1/2 the parents smoking a cigarette while taking there kids around anyway. Hell, even a couple dads made mention that they wish they were home handing out candy enjoying a cigar.
I guess I may be odd as I did not see anything wrong with what I did and if parents were really bothered by it, like I said they could have walked on by. No one seemed to have a problem though.
