This kind of thing needs to be worked out before you get hitched. I can tell you my wife rarely says a word about me smoking in the house or my purchases. But, I have a designated smoking room and I don't question her hobbies or purchases. It's a mutual "live and let live" attitude we were able to work out between us and it works for us. If you truly want to keep this habit and not have to listen to the nagging then communicate and come up with a plan now. If not you will be jumping through hoops the rest of your life and you will still have issues.  |
As a guy going through a divorce right now, I will echo this sage advice. Things she tolerates now, will get much more explosive once you have married. She thinks she will change you in the future. Better have a long talk now, because this is likely only the tip of the iceberg.
