Re: Scotch's that wont break the bank

Lately, I've become very fond of Irish single malts. Try Tyrconnell single malt Irish at about $35/750ml. Bushmill's 10yr single malt is also very nice at a few dollars more a bottle.

Re: Tasting Scotch

I usually drink my malts straight. I've of course heard of adding a bit of water to open up the whisky, but until I purchased a bottle of Balcone's Texas malt at 106 proof, I hadn't understood the...

Re: On Line Cigar Info

Lately, I have been using 'cigar place' as a vendor for some singles that I couldn't find at my usual vendors. As I shopped I found that their box prices averaged quite a bit lower than many major...

Re: 2014 MLB Thread

I'm not really up to date in baseball, but have been a Cards fan my whole life.

I had the pleasure of going to Cards games in the latter 1960's when I was "ahem" slightly younger. I got to see...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Been drinking some Anchor California Lager of late. Pretty tasty for a lager...plenty of hops & a nice finish.

Of course, looking forward to the Octoberfest season which starts up in August....

Re: Tatuaje Fausto Robusto Review

Am smoking a Fausto robusto right now, & it's a nice full bodied cigar, but agree with you completely. The FT166 I think is the short churchill? I find it to be a much more satisfying cigar.

Re: Gardeners in the Asylum

Bought 90 spring crocus bulbs/corms recently. They appealed to me because they come up very early & you can mow them down on your first mow of the season & they go dormant til the next spring.

It...

Her children, I assume, moved into the house. They have several...

Re: What is your favorite Scotch Whisky

Wow! I had a waiter at Bern's Steak House in Tampa suggest the 33 yr old Springbank to me about 15 yrs ago. It was $50 an ounce, but still remains the best single malt I've tried. For the record, it...

Re: Anyone else have a "cigar bequest?"

I'm not sure I want to know the origins of that nickname...perhaps his skills shall come in handy at Tom's funeral, as they will need someone to tenderize the corpse. (snicker)

Re: Anyone else have a "cigar bequest?"

Will they use the Guinness to marinate before smoking you Tom? It sounds delicious...are the Irish fond of hickory, or do they use a different hardwood?
