Re: What cigar did you smoke today V?

My first Oktoberfest from Quesada, the Kurz size. Loved it! I'm behind the rest of you, most of you probably already had it.

Re: "Perfect Cut" cutters

I hardly ever use it (the perfect cutter). My credit card-size stainless steel cutter from Cusano is one I use most often. Like other guys I like gadgets and have a variety, including a Shuriken and...

Re: "Perfect Cut" cutters

lol, I do! I love the guillotine one from Cusano, it's kind of a credit card cutter. I've not had any problems using a guillotine cutter, but I do see guys whack off a good half inch (or more) all...

Re: "Perfect Cut" cutters

I saw a couple different ones at a regional herf we had. I think one of them might have been Perdomo.
The one I have is a "Black Ops." Several shops sell them too, 2 Guys in NH, for one.

"Perfect Cut" cutters

These seem to be the vogue nowadays. Lot of manufacturers make them, have their logo on them and given as premiums. They are the ones that just take off a very small clip, which admittedly - I know...

It was C. Auctioneer. The two from '08 and '10 were Honduran Maduro Churchills, not otherwise specified (these were predecessors to their "Thousand...

Auction comment: 5 year old stock?

Just curious...
Anyone ever get cigars from an auction site (we won't mention names) that are quite aged? I can tell since they use a labeling system with dates. In the last month, I have got cigars...

Re: Objects used for rests/ashtrays

Cool. Tnx for tip about my souvenir! It might very well have asbestos... I may have to give it early retirement.

Objects used for rests/ashtrays

I'm curious as to what various objects the inmates might use for cigar rests or ashtrays, which are not commercial in nature.
As an example, I often use a little item I picked up a couple of years...

Re: Padilla 1968 Golden Bear

I liked them ok, but I think the "Black Bear" was better as I recall. Both have a lot of tobacco for the money!

Re: Coffee and Cigar group on Ning: Free samples

Well obviously I hadn't had enough coffee yet. I meant to say "to pair with CIGARS." Couldn't see how to edit the original post, so just posting this as a correction.
Please excuse my error!...

Joplin Tornado Relief: Special Thanks to Montecristo/Altadis

I haven't seen much mention of this yet, so wanted to share this with my fellow inmates.

Enchilada Soup like at Chili's Restaurant

This is a clone version of Chili's Chicken Enchilada Soup. Kind of labor intensive, but I really like it. Some people even use fritos.

Re: looking for a chili recipe

Oh, btw, I like to put a spoon or so of Mrs. Renfro's Chow-Chow on top of my chili. Or a spoonful of Pico de Gallo. If you need a good Pico de Gallo recipe, holler at me, I've got one.
Afraid to...

Re: looking for a chili recipe

I just made a pot of Wick Fowler's yesterday. I made it 2-Alarm, but it's more like 3-Alarm today. Dave's right--the packet of red pepper mainly just adds heat. I do the onions the way he mentioned,...
