Re: Camacho

Chayse, a little background for you. Camacho used to be a family operation that grew tobacco and rolled cigars. They were one of the first cigar companies to market through the internet, even before...

Re: Looking for a new laptop, need suggestions.

I’ll second the iPad suggestions. I bought an iPad Air 2 a couple of years ago to use like a Kindle reader. By now, I use it 90% of the time. I use my older HP laptop when I need a spreadsheet.

Re: Beats headphones anyone?

I have personally always disliked Bose products, ever since those muddy sounding, rear firing speakers that came out in the 70s. All hype!

Re: Just Found One Cool Site

Very cool!

For a little simpler stargazing, I like the SkyView app. You point your smart device toward a spot in the sky and it identifies everything the camera as showing.

After you do the parentheses, you go left to right so,

8/2*(2+2)=

8/2*4=

Re: Whatís your favorite seconds

I like the Oliva 2nds, especially the Liga VM, which I think is the Melanio Maduro. The M robustos are also quite good.

Both CigarPage and Atlantic have 2nds or overruns from time to time. I’ve...

Re: Pushing the Seasoning

To properly judge the success of your seasoning, you really need a wood moisture meter. Here’s a link to a discussion of wood moisture meters:...

Re: Pushing the Seasoning

When the cooling system runs, it will pull moisture out of the air. It’s going to be hard, if not impossible, for some passive moisture sources to keep up with a mechanical cooling system. I think...

Re: Heading to Chagrin Falls today!

Tim Conway was also from Chagrin Falls. Pretty area, check out Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Or, follow the Chagrin River North to the lake and enjoy a walleye dinner on the water.

Re: Looking for someone with experience in Myrtle Beach

When you get sick of the congestion, try Myrtle Beach or Huntington State Parks, both South of town with beautiful beaches and less people. Or, head North to Calabash, NC, which is noted for its...

Baseball humidors

OK, so this isnít exactly a cigar humidor. But, lots of us love baseball and it interesting the relative rates that the humidity and temperature equalize. I was surprised how much the weight changes...

Re: Under appreciated & overlooked...underdogs?

One of my faves is the Fallen Angel by AJ Fernandez. It’s probably a CI house blend. It’s got a bit more finesse than some of AJ’s stuff and can usually be had for ~$3. Don’t bid against me!

Re: Humidors

My experience is similar. Iíve had 4 or 5 wood humidors and only one has been useful over time. Despite beautiful craftsmanship, the moisture inside warps them.

I use coolers for the majority of...

If you’re a freshman, I’d find a school that will survive without question. They may make it another year, but the coaches and profs will be bailing out. Playing golf on a sinking ship sounds more...

Re: A Cool New Technology

Very neat! I guess, in the short term, the trick is figuring out how to use it in a way that conveys the info you want instead of just mesmerizing the audience with the technology. But, that’s where...

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

T.G. has about covered the humidity issue. I've used both PG and HCM beads over the years. They both work OK, but beads give you the option to store slightly drier.

The other possibility is that...
