Re: New Humidor Suggestions

Tom,

I keep my wineador in a cool place in the house and I have never plugged it in. With the beads on each level I have managed to keep a fairly stable 65-70% RH and about 70 degrees F. She has...

Re: Removing Smell

I would have used baking soda. Slightly dampen the interior and dump as much as you can in one half, close, shake and let sit for a few days. Empty, rinse and air out for a day or two. Then use...

Re: Kitchen Remodel

Oh, I asked at several appliance stores and was told tat the new cooktops don't need the special pots to make more effective use of the energy. And they are also fairly scratch resistant now. We did...

Re: Kitchen Remodel

So, we have just moved and are replacing some of the appliances in the new house, but I'll get to that in a minute. In the house we just moved from, we had to replace the dishwasher and the fridge. ...

If I can score two more, I'll one I have for...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I'll be doing just that. At the register, it lets them know if you purchased more than one per day (ID is required and scanned). It's an hour away, but it looks I'll be putting some miles on the...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I don't do pictures, but I was at my local military base and stopped in the PX to see if they had restocked their liquor isle. I came across a bottle of Blanton's I hadn't see before. There was...

Re: Brick Oven Build (Pic heavy)

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Got to try that Dickel BiB. Seems that I prefer it with an ice cube, to settle it down a bit, but it is a very nice drink. I sipped that along with a Partagas from the motherland today. I have had...

Re: How To: Organizing cigars

Not an expert, but I don't think contact between cigars will affect anything, save for the afore mentioned infused or flavored versions. Keep those in a separate container.

I was just thinking,...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I also wouldn't mind paying a few dollars to a mom and pop store for a highly rated bottle I would like to try. it's keeps them afloat and I get to try something new or on the rarer side. But like...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Well, since it was 5 o'clock somewhere, I cracked open the Balcones for a taste. This is my first review, of anything, so forgive me if it sounds off.

After letting it sit neat for a few...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

OK, no joy on the Four Roses Single Barrel. I called last night and they said they would hold two bottles for me. I drove almost 30 miles and when I got there they said they were out of stock. I...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I'll take your advice and pick up a bottle and give it a shot. I have been broadening my horizons as of late (nothing else to do), so this is now my new past time, as long as the Honey Do list is...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Around here, anything that gets a good review seems to disappear overnight. Wierd.

I went ahead and tried Total, nation wide, but the only store that has it (and in store pickup only) was Miami. ...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I have to ask. Where are you guys finding the Dickel BiB and the Four Roses Small Batch? I have looked at almost every liquor store between here and southern Maine and have not found a single...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

If that is the 13 Year Old BiB, that is quite the score. I can't find it anywhere here in the east, same for the Four Roses Small Batch SELECT (just finished the bottle). I would love to be able to...

Re: Buying cigars directly from manufacturers?

I don't have any links to share, but I do think that there would be plenty of notice before something like that would happen. And more than likely, cigarettes would be hit first. Remember, they...

Re: Vinotemp dead. Suggestions?

Same here. I just have to keep an occasional eye on the humidity, but I have never plugged in my EdgeStar 28 and the temperature has remained very steady at around 70-72 degrees throughout the year....
