Re: Considering an Aristocrat

I have a mini tall. No issues with door at all. If I were to do it again I'd probably go w/o the glass, but that's just my taste changing over time.

Re: In Orlando next week. Any shops to check out?

Was going to suggest this. Back when I lived there Ol Times was my favorite place by far. Great family owned business, outstanding prices, free beverages.

Re: Internet Sales Tax

That is true. And in reality all this bill does is require the consumer to pay taxes they are legally obligated to already pay, just most break the law and do not.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I like Buffalo Trace, definitely worth a try and a good price.

For similar to Maker's I'd look at W.L Weller. I like the 107.

I like Woodford a lot as well although probably not my favorite. ...

Re: The Poor Mans Behike?

It may be innovative, but would it be good business? I definitely prefer smaller RGs and under 50, but the market is driving the products. You see this in both CC and NC.

Also, Pete has done...

Re: Last Day of the Auction

A few thoughts as to why it may be smaller than the first.

1. It's not the first. The first one was brand new and exciting.
2. There is another large auction one month from today many will...

Re: Traveling tips anyone?

Another option is a non-torch butane lighter. I have two soft flame lighters just for traveling. Always have one and a cutter in my bag, never have a I been stopped.

I accidentally had a triple...

Re: Smoking CC's

All the most common counterfeit and although there are some Cohiba pyramids, they are rare and special releases. W/o pics and just by what you posted I would guess they are fakes.

Re: Xikar Xi3 or Palio cutter?

I think the Xi8 looks cheaper than the Palio, especially when comparing like color/designs. I think it cuts as well if not better though and is about half the price.

Re: Noobie.. How can I tell if my humidifer works?

Huy's not right about much, but he's right about this. When I used to overflow my desktops I'd use tupperware until a new humi arrived. Although I'd go with a lower Boveda pack if avail (think they...

Palio is better than Xi3, but I like the X8 the best.

Re: Humidor question

The Oasis can be way off from what you set it at and change over time. I'd probably set it at 65 and go from there. I've had mine up to 82 to maintain 65 all the way down to 58....

I wouldn't worry until you have long stretches over 80. My humidor is in the range you posted year round.

I pull my tenderloin at 135-140 and let rest for about 10 minutes. Glad to read this though.
