Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Swapped off an "extra" AR-15 at the show this weekend, for a barely used Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 9mm pistol, the full size version. S&W claimed that all the 2.0's have better triggers than the...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Okay. Some of those clips are pretty positive, and hold up well. Naturally, width/thickness of your belt plays a part too.

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

How does that holster attach to the belt? I'm usually a fan of loops with snaps rather than many of the talon shaped clips used by most holster makers.

Yeah, thanks. This Armi San Marco will probably fetch about $150.

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

It is an Armi San Marco (imported by Connecticut Valley Arms) Colt 1851 Navy reproduction. Picked up some helpful info from a gun show pal today. Probably worth about $150.
Thanks for chiming in....

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Anybody here subscribe to the online Blue Book of Gun Values? I probably should. Been trying to figure out what to ask for an Italian-reproduction black powder revolver and Gunbroker doesn't have...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Anybody else notice the deals on some if not most of Remington's guns lately? For example the little RM380 can be had for $100 with sale price and rebate subtracted.
I think the company has been...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

It's been running just fine, I consider testing/break-in to be over. The 16" barrel adds give or take 300 feet per second to 115 grain ammo, compared to say a 4" Glock handgun.

I have it zeroed...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

I tried out the Freedom Ordnance twice. It was hitting low at 15-20 yards, so I had to shorten the front sight post. Can't say I really like whittling on a brand new gun, or in this case the brand...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

I'd been wanting to get a 9mm carbine of some kind for a while, but was in no hurry and took time to look at some in person. Also, it's become more of a buyer's market these last 9-11 months or so,...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

But Dan, Glock's slogan has been "Perfection" since the Generation 2 guns, and they're up to Gen5 now. I guess they are "even more perfecter" now..:r

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Anybody see pictures of the new Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 Compact yet? In 9mm, they lengthened the grip frame and magazines to 15 round capacity, up from 12 in the old 9C.

In other words, S&W's...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

I need to find a "BANG" flag on a stick, so I can take some humorous photos of the ACME Glock. By the way it hasn't backfired and blown off my face yet; I don't think the ACME company liked Wile E....

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Glock started out using serial numbers with a two letter prefix, then a three or four digit number. So flash forward from 1984 to 2017, they now are up to four letter prefixes.

So, why did I...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Those AmeriGlo sights I mentioned are kind of a poor man's Trijicon HDs, the more I think about it. Imo Trijicon has become way too proud of their tritium.

Lately have "swapped up" in Glocks to the TALO version of models 17 and 19, fourth generation. Those AmeriGlo sights (tritium with red paint encircling the glass tube up front, rear notch is U shaped...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

And good score on the 5.56 ammo! Bud's Guns in Lexington Ky. had that stuff on an in-store-only special when I was there a couple years ago. It's actually shot very well in my AR's, accurate, clean,...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Just keep my advice about a safe in the back of your mind. I have never for a second regretted the money spent on it. One of the only bummers is moving to a new home and realizing that big steel box...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

If you're going to keep acquiring firearms--or just want to hang on to those you already have--invest in a safe. It's about as fun a way to spend money as buying insurance, because in fact that is...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Thanks for explaining. In Ohio, bills from the previous two year session die if not passed, and the process must start all over. Most annoying to lose out that way. To make it worse, the first week...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

You're in the fire service, right? I'm going on memory so excuse me if that's not the case. Anyhow, Glock has what's called their Blue Label program. Police fire EMS etc. eligible for special pricing.

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

That would be a good "street price" for a Gen4, I think they run about $530 or thereabouts, typically. The Gen3's still in the pipeline, around here at least, go about $490 unless on sale.

A friend in my shooting group has a Shield .45 ordered. Eventually I'll get to try it. Thanks for replying, Remo.

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Anybody fired a S&W Shield in .45 acp yet? None of the local ranges have one for rent, this gun will be a "try before by" for me.
