Re: Day 4 Of Quitting Snuff...

Best of luck Scott. Weather the the first month and it'll be lot easier. Try to stay away from any heavy dippers you know until you're past the stage of intense craving. After about a year you...

Re: The Case of the Expanding Ring Gauge

Depends on what you consider core. 42 used to be the standard ring guage, but now the corona has been replaced by the Robusto at 50 as the standard of our era. For those who prefer ring guages 46...

Re: The Case of the Expanding Ring Gauge

Re: Show a picture of a great pair!!!

Brad, you nailed it. That beer made the cigar suck so much less it was actually enjoyable. I guess you need something really strong to coat your palatte & drown out the musty cardboard :r

Re: The Poor Mans Behike?

I'd love to see some blind side by sides of the real Behike and Pete's knock offs when these hit the shelves. It would probably fall along the same old preference lines of NC/CC, but it would be fun...

Re: DBall's Newb Blind Taste Test #5

It's been a of couple years, but they were over a decade old when I last smoked them. At that point a cigar is either too far gone or should by all accounts be ready to smoke. I'm sure there is a...

Re: DBall's Newb Blind Taste Test #5

The selectos I had from the freebie fivers all tasted like red vines licorice and musty cardboard to me. My wife claimed they gave me dragon breath from hell. Guess it goes to show that taste is...

Re: Absinthe Afternoon

Have you ever tried a Death in the Afternoon? You pour a dose of absinthe and then louche it with champagne. Drink a couple of those and you'll see why it got its name. I think they're delicious...

Re: Absinthe Afternoon

At the expense of flavor. There are many fine absinthes that louche thick and opalescent without the aid of star anise. For most connoisseurs, the use of star anise is the mark of an inferior...

Re: Absinthe Afternoon

Pastis is a star anise drink, talk about your licorice bomb. I'd stay away from it unless you LOVE black jelly beans. In general an absinthe that uses star anise rather than green anise is...

Re: Absinthe Afternoon

Absinthe is simply an expensive thing to make, as it blended from the distilates of 6 or more different herbs and put through a pretty elaborate process, usually in a traditional, copper alembic...

Re: Absinthe Afternoon

That's kind of like saying, "if a cigar doesn't get you high like weed why would you still smoke it?" People should drink absinthe for the taste, or they're wasting their money. Scientific studies...
