Re: Really Good Torch Lighter?

I'd pay a lot of money for a reliable torch lighter. I haven't found one yet.

I'm going to send my Xikar Tech back. I've had it less than a year and I can't get it to light anymore.

I'll...

Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?

Last night was a good night. I had some catching up to do now that the hurricane is gone:
Tabak Especial Robusto Negra (first time trying these - loved it!)
Oliva Serie 'G' Maduro Torpedo
Sancho...

Re: Lighter Help

Get a disposable bic. I've had nothing but grief from every last one of my expensive lighters.

Re: How do you buy your smokes?

Singles & 5-packs online, mostly through CI. That is, until I found the Devil Site. Now I have a humidor upgrade on the way and more to buy! :D

Re: Cuban disappointment?

Couldn't tell you which one, late 90s, small tourist shop in Nassau. Yeah...I know.

Re: Cuban disappointment?

I'm assuming the Cohiba CCs I had in The Bahamas many years ago were fake, because if that's what all the fuss is about, I don't get it. They tasted and smoked the same as every other cigar. :sh

Re: CAO Mx2

Now I wish I could remember what I was drinking at the time of the first smoke to see if that affected its taste. I have three more (I bought a 5-pack) so we'll see.

Re: CAO Mx2

I had a CAO 'VR' Cathedral (torpedo). I like the CAO Mx2 better.

CAO Mx2

Fairly good draw, acceptable burn. The construction leaves a bit to be desired in the cap, where both of the CAO Mx2s I've smoked have become unraveled from a mere punch cut. The one I smoked in the...

Re: What do they smoke?

Side note: that is a remarkably reasonable list of "demands" for a Vice President. Most of those things are normal aspects of even a cheap motel room (a container for ice, really? lol)

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

I need help using and maintaining my torch lighters.

My luck with butane torch lighters is so bad that at this point it can't be bad luck, I must be doing something wrong. I've now purchased two...

Re: Who has a Keurig coffee pot?

I loved my Keurig at first, but I live in an area with hard water, so the maintenance required to keep it from getting clogged is annoying. It got to the point where hitting the large mug button...

Oliva Serie 'G' Maduro

I really enjoyed the Oliva Serie 'G' Maduro. It had difficult draw after a sizeable guillotine cut, so I had to use a punch cut to open it up. I repeated this again later on as it started to clog up....

Re: Xikar Element / Lights Only On Second Try

Well this is odd. I tried going slower when pressing the button, and not only did that not work, but when I do that it makes it not always light on the second try.

Xikar Element / Lights Only On Second Try

I recently bought a Xikar Element and I'm having a slight issue with it. It lights on the second time, every time. Never, not once, on the first attempt. Always on the second attempt though, without...

Re: What Was Your First Box Purchased?

Thanks for the advice! They're in my humidor now. It's a small one, but it has a good seal, a freshly-calibrated digital hygrometer, and it's holding steady within +/- 1% at 65% with beads. Just have...

Re: What Was Your First Box Purchased?

5 Vegas Gold Maduro churchills, which I then promptly destroyed by putting a humi-pillow in the box for several days, awaiting room in my humidor. Horrible burn problems later (as in, it wouldn't...
