Re: Restaurant/Bar + Lounge worth visiting in Portland, OR?

No worries, I'll take my own just in case and buy something there if they do have anything that strikes me.

Thanks again for all the help!

Re: Restaurant/Bar + Lounge worth visiting in Portland, OR?

I'll probably have a few of my own in-toe, but if it's on the same check as my meal and under $30 total, it's easy to expense and the company bean counters don't really case... but once it hits...

Re: Restaurant/Bar + Lounge worth visiting in Portland, OR?

Shilo looks like a good choice without going as far downtown... I should be able to grab some coffee beans from Extracto, hit Shilos for dinner and a smoke, and still be in bed by 11:30! The Lounge...

Restaurant/Bar + Lounge worth visiting in Portland, OR?

I have an overnight layover in PDX on may way to PHX from ATL (flying Alaska so I can use upgrade certificates). Can anyone recommend a B&M or Restaurant/Bar + Lounge worth visiting in Portland, OR?...

Re: The Moped of Cigars

I haven't tried these yet but intend to and suspect they may be my "moped"... I like sweet sticks anyway and what looks like a great price/performance ratio for the Robusto 2-FER makes me think these...

Re: Vegas cigar shop recommendations?

I had a mixed experience at Casa Fuente. My friend and I were forced into a corner table on the patio even when we were one of only 3 parties there and were told it was because they were "expecting...

Re: Salvaging old/dry cigars?

I don't mind letting them sit awhile with humidification to see where they end up. I'm perfectly fine with something enjoyable, even if it's not the authentic experience these sticks might otherwise...

Salvaging old/dry cigars?

Today when I walk in the office there's an old-ish canister humidor sitting on my desk with a note from my boss that reads:

"These are OLD but maybe rescue-able?".

I open up the canister and...

Re: Small metal ring inside Xikar Eris lighter?

Mine as well, I just don't particularly care for the model they shipped back this time. I have a pair of Elements and a Twist punch both still serving me well, and I hope to pick up an XV sooner or...

Re: Small metal ring inside Xikar Eris lighter?

Replacement arrived today (12 calendar days)... a brand new Vitara in Gunmetal. The Gunmetal isn't really my cup of tea, so it's up on the B/S/T if anyone is interested.

Re: What CAO had the best flavor profile for you?

I usually like milder smokes, but the CAO America was quite enjoyable for me. It was full-flavored and almost chewy without being a pepper bomb. I'd really like to try the Perfecto, but I think it...

Re: How many cigars do you smoke a week?

I'd say I'm right at 5 in an average week. The bulk of my smoking is done at at work on lunch break, 3-4 times a week. I'm lucky to get one in at home on the weekend, either in the garage, while...

Re: Cigars & our better half...

I had always thought my wife was more-or-less indifferent. She doesn't care for the smell of smoke or the way I smell afterwards, but she's never had a problem with me smoking either. Then, much to...

Re: Power Turbo Torch Lighter

I've received 2 of these in the last week and haven't had any problems filling.

Is your butane can possibly low? If so, it may not have enough propellant to create enough pressure to push the...

Re: What Cain Nub by Oliva had the best flavor profile for you?

It's not listed in the poll, but I'm a fan of the Nub Cameroon 358 and 460. They are rich and flavorful without much if any pepper/spice and without the blandness of the Connecticut. Squarely...

Re: Travel Humidor

I didn't realize this until recently, but Cigar Caddy is owned/manufactured by Otter Box... same folks that make the obnoxiously rugged phone cases. In fact, I think my buddy's Samsung Galaxy S3 in...

Re: $5 Honest Dual Torch with Punch from DX - EXCELLENT

Free shipping without tracking, slightly more expensive with tracking. I used the free shipping and my order and it arrived in about 3 weeks.

Re: Cheap Smoke Thread

I've been getting good Drew Estates sticks in what I'd consider the "cheap smoke" price range ($3/stick) from Cigar Monster here lately... the Spiced Wingman comes up for $30 and includes 5 Acid Kuba...

$5 Honest Dual Torch with Punch from DX - EXCELLENT

I've been smoking for about 18 months now. Ever since my first trip to a B&M I've been eying the Xikar Element but never could justify the price. I'd stuck with Ronson Jet Lites and a couple of...

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?

Grocery store Jamaican Blue Mountain "blend" (so probably 1% actual JBM) from a Moka Express 3-Cup. Comes out reasonably strong but still pretty darn smooth for a grocery store pre-ground.
