Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Agreed, but it's a good warmup

Picking up a 15 year KY bourbon today, same mystery as the rest of the latest 15 year KY bourbons but this one is barrel proof at only 102, should be interesting

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Love the Hancock for a first pour, cool looking bottle to have around as well

Had some fingerlakes stuff last night, sweet and chocolaty, reminded me of the candy sweetness that can come from...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Opened up a fun one last night, drank one of these fresh in 2016 and thought it was a solid stout with just a little too much blueberry, so I bought two more to cellar. Cracked the first of them...

Re: How about an "infinity bourbon" thread?

Not exactly an infinity bottle, but I guess home blending. I'm a fan of Old Forester 1915, especially with a cigar. Good proof point and sweetness, it holds its own without overpowering

Old...

Re: Sous vide

I'd love to deep fry them at the end, but without a dedicated deep fry setup it's not worth the hassle

Re: Sous vide

A couple weeks ago I got some pre-marinated black garlic chicken wings from the store, didn't get around to grilling them so I vac sealed and threw in the freezer. Yesterday I took them out, let...

Re: How about an "infinity bourbon" thread?

I've got one, it's basically equal parts two different BT picks and Kentucky Spirit. I haven't tried it in a while, I wanted to put some effort into it but there are too many bottles to try on their...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Hell of a lineup! Still trying to decide what to do for black friday this year, I like waiting in line to get whatever the most limited one we get that year (I just go 1-2 hours before they open and...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Shelfer would probably be better for casual drinking in large amounts (so smooth and sweet) but the pick was more interesting, made me think a little. The pick takes the overall win but I've been...

I was having a pour from my OWA pick bottle last night and figured I'd do a little taste of the shelfer to go with it. The shelf was all...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Did a 3-bottle comparison of EHT Single Barrel on Saturday (third was a sample from a friend). I think the general consensus was that they are all a little different but still pretty similar, the...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Some people really like Skrewball. To them I say you can have my portion :tu

Did some work on an 11 year RR pick over the weekend, I've had some that felt a little thin but this one was on point,...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Yes please on all of the above :al

Sounds like a great time, EHTBP seems completely unobtainable but I've said that before about things that I've somehow ended up with, eyes open!

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Two winners for sure. I don't know how available picks are in PA, but a good EC store pick is as good as it gets for that price range, I usually keep a couple around

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Got tickets for Saturday's FRAFOGB session (https://fallingrocktaphouse.com/frafogb-beer-list-so-far/), wanted to do the other one too but $100/person adds up, and there were a few too many repeats...
