Re: What cigar did you smoke today V?

Had one of the shorter Warlocks...not really blown away by it.

Re: Games thread!

Traded in a few games Tuesday and picked up Ni No Kuni -- not a big JRPG fan, but it got really good reviews so I thought I'd give it a shot. Slow to start, but it's picking up.

Also snagged the...

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?

Just watched this as well -- not bad, but not something I would buy to add to the collection.

I also watched Dark Skies -- again, not bad. Not really a horror flick; more like a sci-fi thriller...

Re: Seasoning question -- different from the usual...

Good question -- I didn't. And come to think of it, I did (once) do the "drop the lid" test as someone mentioned to see if I got the "whoosh" of a good seal versus the "wooden clang" from a crappy...

To answer your q, they're so small that I can't even really smear them -- or I smear them into nothing.

Re: Seasoning question -- different from the usual...

I wondered about the dish vs. sponge thing. When I read this sticky thread:

http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=620

the original poster spoke of the dish of distilled (yup, I did...

Re: Games thread!

Just returned the rental of The Last Of Us, which has been nothing short of fantastic. After my first time renting it, I was cursing it out. Apparently all I needed was to step away for a day and...

Seasoning question -- different from the usual...

First, as an aside: I want to say THANK YOU to the various members whose posts I've been reading concerning the seasoning of a humidor. I'm on Day 8 of seasoning my humidor with the bowl of...

Re: Cigars & our better half...

The Mrs. surprised me with an early birthday present -- stopped to buy some cigars this past Saturday, walked out of the B&M with a new humidor, punch cutter, hygrometer and...cigars. :)

She's...

A question about the devilsite and humidors.

My apologies if this has been covered before; I did try to search and see if the subject had been brought up previously.

I've quickly become a fan of Cbid; snagged a sweet Xikar lighter on there...

Re: PS4 or Xbox One

Were I to *have* to buy a next-gen console, I'd go with PS4 as well. And PS2's were sweet -- many a night was spent rocking Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for it.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today V?

Last night, the wife and I took the dogs for a walk as I smoked the Cro-Magnon Knuckle Dragger that AdamJoshua hooked me up with. Really, really nice -- makes me want to snag the 5-pack of Cro-Mags...

Re: Games thread!

Reserved "The Walking Dead" (the first one, not the second game with the guys from the actual show) through Redbox.com (which is a great way to save a crapload of money, IMHO). Played Episode 1 so...

Re: General Cigar Foundry Review

Had one of the Talbots a few days ago, and thought of this thread. It wasn't a bad smoke; like porigitty, I had a couple of burn issues but nothing alarming. It was good, but I wasn't blown away by...

Re: Anyone have this V-cutter?

So the Xicar V-Cutter is the way to go? There's a couple on the devilsite and I'm debating putting a bid in.

Re: Fathers Day Cigars??

Had a couple of Helixes yesterday and then some hand-rolled sticks at the Rochester Beer Expo last night; the Father's Day gift was a Cigar Caddy from the missus. Works for me! :)

Re: Best of the best cover songs.

Sorry! The first was Deftones' cover of "No Ordinary Love" by Sade; the second being Failure's cover of "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode.

Re: Best of the best cover songs.

Here's another one -- older, but really good, especially once 1:06 rolls around. Best with headphones or loud speakers.

Re: PS4 or Xbox One

The game plan right now is to wait until the new gen consoles are released, then when the price drops on a 360 bundle, snag that and have one of each 3rd gen. I can enjoy all that I've missed out on...

Re: Games thread!

Traded in a couple of games for Need For Speed: The Run. I love NFS: Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit, and finally decided to snag this. It's different, and harder -- but it's a bit addictive. ...

Re: Games thread!

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the controller for the PS3 for fighting games! The analog stick doesn't want to do what I want it to -- it makes me long for the old school "stand up arcade" version.

Re: Games thread!

Injustice is essentially the same engine as Mortal Kombat; the story line is sweet in that you're not playing one character all the way through. You switch up, which makes the story more intelligent...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Normally I'll drink a variety of beers (though I lean towards IPA's) -- but as of late, it's been ciders and shandys. I think the Stella Artois Cidre and Strongbow are probably the better, more...
