Those are the ones with the balsa filters no? If so, I tended to ignore them on my Sav.

Give a decent cleaning before lighting her up. Plenty of threads about cleaning estate pipes.

I actually like coffee more so than anything else with a cigar. Iced if it's hot.

Smoke sits within the cigar when you pull on it. Blowing through the cigar removes any sort of smoke that's lingering inside the cigar. No stale smoke, no foul.

Doesn't always work though.

I think it's alcohol and salt... That usually does it. If you're talking about the Professor's Pipe-Sweetening Treatment that is.

GL Pease also has another way of doing that uses activated...

This, it takes a while for briar pipes to break in new. I have a really expensive Sav that took a year to break in but is probably my best smoker now. Likewise, although briar quality to price...

I own both, it depends on the shape for me. Bulldogs are straight, billards are bent.

I drive with a 3/4 bent.
