Re: 60% vs. 65% beads, I'd like to hear some opinions from both sides

oh wow, these look like the way to go.

Because I'm in Houston, where the humidity stays well above 70% for most of the year, my main concern is cigars actually retaining too much moisture, not...

Re: 60% vs. 65% beads, I'd like to hear some opinions from both sides

I guess I should mention this is for several small tupperdors holding 50 cigars or so each. Leakage is not an issue, and neither is long-term storage. I am more of a smoker than a collector, so most...

60% vs. 65% beads, I'd like to hear some opinions from both sides

Hi Everybody,

I've decided that it's time to get some good quality beads, due to recent poor luck using 70% PG Gel.

I have used pg gel for years, and normally just drybox whatever I plan to...

Re: What Size do you Buy the Most? II

Haha, I came here to say this.

While I also enjoy large cigars on the weekend, I normally don't have the time to finish a big smoke. Consequently the majority of my purchases are PCs and smaller....

Re: Are Onyx still produced?

Same here, I remember buying a few like, 10 years ago. Considering how many great cigars are available now however, I wonder if it is even worth it to seek these out. Just pick a new favorite. There...

Re: Well, this is prolly the end...

I agree with this guy. Just b/c you don't have the passion right now, doesn't mean you won't ever again. I hadnt smoked or bought anything in over a year due to the birth of my son. I didn't post...

Re: DPG 2nds?

Agreed 100%

I received a few in trade from a fellow asylum member and have been a fan ever since.

Ooh, it's been too long since I've had a #4, good suggestion.

Re: Retrohaling

The nose exhale never worked for me. Instead, I let the smoke sort of drift into my nostrils as I exhale slowly through my mouth. I get all the nuanced flavored and what not, without any harshness. I...

Re: E.P. Carrillo inaugural 2009

I may be one of the few who really liked these. I get why many didn't though. The flavor was just really subtle and nuanced. If you prefer full flavored NCs, this one would definitely disappoint,...

Re: Golf Cigars?

My golf cigar is the Padron 3000 maduro, but I recommend anything from their regular line for a round of golf. They're cheap, but still fairly tasty and not likely to get you dizzy either.

Re: I'm a Corona Type of Guy How about you?

I'd say the Corona falls right in the middle of my preferred range of cigars. 50rg being to about as wide as I like to go, all the way down to 40 or 38. So yeah, the corona is just about average size...

Re: wedding suggestions

The easy answer would be, pick something with a reputation for lots of aging potential.

Unfortunately, I have found that there is no guarantee any particular box will age well. The best thing you...

Re: Looking for B+M in the Houston area

Houston is so large, it would be helpful if you knew what part of town you will be in. Serious cigars is by far the best place I know of, but it is about 45min north of downtown.

Re: Best naturally "Sweet" cigar

The most noticeably sweet cigars in my opinion are the Artuo Fuente Don Carlos line (the red and black band). More so than any cigar, the sweetness of these really comes through.

They are also in...

Re: Opus X?

I love them. While its true that there are other good or better cigars available for less, that doesn't mean they taste the same. The Opus definitely has a unique flavor which I really enjoy.

The...

Re: Partagas....

I think NC Partagas are notoriously bad. The only time I have had a B&M employee tell me NOT to buy a cigar was when I picked up a Partagas.

The Benji Master Series was a joke too, complete waste...

Re: Sam Leccia's Debut on hold

As a completely objective observer who has never smoked or had any interest in this guy's cigars, I have to agree. Is Oliva truly concerned that Sam Leccia is going to put a dent in their bottom...

Re: My Uzi Weighs a Ton now on sale

It's a line from the Public Enemy song: "Public Enemy No. 1"
if anybody was wondering.

"I'll show you my gun, My Uzi weighs a ton"

I always assumed that he was not referring to an actual gun...

Terrible Mariachi band plays for Sergio Garcia???

I'm hoping someone might know where I can find a video of this. According to my dad, a horrible mariachi band welcomed Sergio Garcia to the 17th hole during a PGA event in Dallas Yesterday....

Re: NC with Boli PC profile?

:tu thumbs up to this option. I haven't imported anything since the big crackdown, and it hasn't slowed down my CC consumption at all.

Re: Show your latest NC purchase II!

I've pretty much stopped buying every other NC lately and moved towards smoking LGs exclusively. Eventually I'll get tired of them, but they really are that good. I've never been a big fan of LFD,...

Re: PG Interview

These are great smokes. I finally tracked down a local shop that carries them and picked one up. It was very similar to one of the fuller flavored AVOs, but with a bit more complexity.

Re: A.Fuentes 75th Anniversary

That sounds awesome Tom. As a Fuente fan, I'm intrigued now. Does anyone have more info regarding the blend and/or availabilty on these?
