Re: TRYING not to lose interest

Nothing wrong with taking some time off.

Nothing wrong with sticking with your routine.

Nothing wrong with trying new stuff.

From my experience, eventually the malaise will pass.
Don't...

Re: Big pepper bomb cigar?

I find a lot of DPG cigars feature pepper.
Ashton San Cristobals are a fav. The newer
SC Elegancia is a bit more subtle, but still
peppery.

Re: Mild to Mediums worth trying

I got tired of xtra strong cigars and dropped back to mediums, without giving up any flavor. My palate is developed more, now.

Mediums I smoke regularly:

AF 858, maduro
AF Hemingway

Re: Any one smoke La Aurora 100 Anos ?

Cien Anos is one of my special occasion smokes.
At times they're exquisite. Complex, with a little
spice and plenty of strength.

Re: Question about pepper

The new Ashton San Cristobal Elegancia has a 'white pepper' taste.
It's also a tad smoother than the regular SC, due to the wrapper.

I find Nicaraguan tobacco to be more 'coarse' than DR tobacco....

Re: Punch Rare Corojo Question

They're terrific 'bang for the buck' sticks.
I buy a box and let them sit for at least 6 months.
As a matter of fact I need to get another box,
as soon as I get some room in my VT.

Re: Stuck with a tight draw box of Torano. Options?

I just use my toothpick to poke a tunnel in the
cut end. Usually works, if draw is too tight.

Re: Box for the boss...

Don't go overboard.
You're an expendable pawn,
keeping him from a bigger bonus.

Get him a box of Dutch Masters.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today IV?

Nub cameroon that was hiding under some
better smokes. Not bad, but lacks complexity.

Re: Don Pepin Garcia JJ Maduro's

They put a new band on the JJs, not long ago.
Why do they drop the good lines for unknown
new lines?

I'll stock up on JJ maddies, too.

Re: Oliva Master Blends 3 ? Anybody smoke these?

Re: So I had a LFD double ligero chisel....

The LFD Chisels and Oliva Vs are both kick-a** smokes.
Many of the LFDs are very strong. Never without food/drink.

Re: What do you think about "Expensive Cigars?"

IMHO, most 'expensive' cigars aren't worth the msrp.
Having said that, there are some xlnt smokes that are
out of my usual price range. I stopped buying special
smokes for Xmas/New Year because...

Re: What causes a metallic taste?

I had it in some La Perla Habanas.
Letting them rest for a few months solved the problem,
but mellowed them out, as well.
