Re: Opinions on French Press?

Maybe mine's just worn out, but I get a ton of dust from my Cuisinart. It's drinkable, but have to nearly decant the stuff to keep from getting more mud than I can stand.

Re: Mokapots, Moka, or Stovetop Espresso, Period.

Saw the stainless steel Bialetti "Venus" at Brandsmart a few days ago.

Re: Mokapots, Moka, or Stovetop Espresso, Period.

Much appreciated. The grinder upgrade is set for an, as yet, undetermined point in the presumably near future, but I didn't want to purchase a stovetop set that's going to be useless with my setup. ...

Re: Mokapots, Moka, or Stovetop Espresso, Period.

I've just finished reading this thread (again) in its entirety, and you have my interest. I have nearly given up on finding a 2-cup bialetti (or other), so I suppose a 3-cup will have to do. I have...

Re: Opinions on French Press?

Did you drink this yet, Dan? It's probably nearly cold by now.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?

I'm grinding my way through a bag of succulent Ugandan beans that tech-ninja was kind enough to send me. These are dark, a little smokey, and delicious. I used them to make a batch of cold-brew...

Re: Hate sludge from your Press?

This sounds like a mess waiting to happen. My little Bodum doesn't seal well enough around the top to keep the grounds from carrying my premature coffee right up around the edges of the carafe.

Re: French Press...yeah, I'll never go back

I've been loving my Bodum french press, but I still find that certain beans just make a better cup with the drip. Ironically enough, I just went through a bag of French Roast beans that were...

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

I've heard an infection can only be truly vanquished if the coffee is smooooooooooooth. :tu

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

Going out in the morning, Tom. My apologies for the delay, fellas. Been running ragged lately, and I haven't been able to get this boxed up.

Final verdict: Smooooooooooooth. I like it. I'm...

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

Changed the proportions this morning for a single cup, instead of my usual travel mug. Made a damn smooth (if not weaker) cup. The learning curve isn't terribly steep on this thing, which I like. ...

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

Assuming the ones included in the box were paper, yes. Maybe my water's too thin. :p

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

I have it set on the finest grind possible, but I'm still having the same problem. Maybe if I poured the water a little more slowly, it would allow the filter to form a better seal.

Also, is the...

Re: Economical grinders?

Be sure to keep an eye on Amazon for deals on Bodum presses. I got a good deal on my 4 cupper there, and there are usually good prices coming around.

BTW the grinder linked above is the one I...

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

First pass at this wasn't terribly successful. Most of the water had drained out before I pressed, and I'm pretty sure I used way too much water to grinds. I ended up with a slightly flavored milk...

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

Pending further inspection, Mooster, I'm going to keep it at smooooth. Further addition of o's will be witheld until results indicate otherwise. ;)

Re: Opinions on French Press?

Been brewing with a french press for a few weeks, and I'm not sure I'll ever drink another cup of drip. I get a much softer texture, as well as a vivid flavor. Only problem I have is that my...
