Re: Second Firearm Thread...

It is an Armi San Marco (imported by Connecticut Valley Arms) Colt 1851 Navy reproduction. Picked up some helpful info from a gun show pal today. Probably worth about $150.
Thanks for chiming in....

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Anybody here subscribe to the online Blue Book of Gun Values? I probably should. Been trying to figure out what to ask for an Italian-reproduction black powder revolver and Gunbroker doesn't have...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Anybody else notice the deals on some if not most of Remington's guns lately? For example the little RM380 can be had for $100 with sale price and rebate subtracted.
I think the company has been...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

It's been running just fine, I consider testing/break-in to be over. The 16" barrel adds give or take 300 feet per second to 115 grain ammo, compared to say a 4" Glock handgun.

I have it zeroed...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

I tried out the Freedom Ordnance twice. It was hitting low at 15-20 yards, so I had to shorten the front sight post. Can't say I really like whittling on a brand new gun, or in this case the brand...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

I'd been wanting to get a 9mm carbine of some kind for a while, but was in no hurry and took time to look at some in person. Also, it's become more of a buyer's market these last 9-11 months or so,...

Re: Bringing cheap cigars from now on

I've got enough pals who appreciate cigars that I don't feel much compelled to hand any out to strangers. We have three good sized organized herfs per week around here, the one I hit most often is at...

This one might play better in a nursing home than a nursery.

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

But Dan, Glock's slogan has been "Perfection" since the Generation 2 guns, and they're up to Gen5 now. I guess they are "even more perfecter" now..:r

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Anybody see pictures of the new Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 Compact yet? In 9mm, they lengthened the grip frame and magazines to 15 round capacity, up from 12 in the old 9C.

In other words, S&W's...

Re: Eclipse viewing

Later reports said some hotels were trying to charge as much as $500 a night, with a minimum three day stay required. A friend booked one early and paid about $300, which was probably "only" double...

Gonna eat Sun Chips and a Moon Pie today. Supposed to be 91% eclipse here, it's cool and all but not worth getting in a mass of humanity to get into the 100% zone further south. I am going to check...

Re: Cigar Vending Machine

I assumed credit card only..until I saw the coin slot below. Don't often find myself carrying around $6 to $15 worth of quarters in my pocket. A slot for paper money would be a little more useful.

Re: Red's Fans Check in

Last night's game was fun to watch! Scooter Gennett, first Red to ever hit four home runs in one game. Ten RBI's ties the team record.

Re: HBD Theo Cincy!

Hmm...aren't you leaving out a couple other highlights from yesterday? Maybe the hanging-out-with-local-cigar-pals part was a lowlight? :D

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

I need to find a "BANG" flag on a stick, so I can take some humorous photos of the ACME Glock. By the way it hasn't backfired and blown off my face yet; I don't think the ACME company liked Wile E....

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Glock started out using serial numbers with a two letter prefix, then a three or four digit number. So flash forward from 1984 to 2017, they now are up to four letter prefixes.

So, why did I...

Y'all read halfwheel.com?

Actually I'd imagine many of you do, maybe on a daily basis. Being a very cigar-centric area here in Cincy, with several great shops and large weekly herfs, we hear rumors about the manufacturers,...

Re: Second Firearm Thread...

Those AmeriGlo sights I mentioned are kind of a poor man's Trijicon HDs, the more I think about it. Imo Trijicon has become way too proud of their tritium.

Re: 2017 MLB Thread

Stephen Piscotty from STL sure had a rough night yesterday: Hit by pitch to get on first, then pegged in the elbow while stealing second base. And finally, hit upside the noggin by the throw to home...
