Re: need help with a custom humidor

:tpd:

You won't be disappointed. I'm pretty sure he can take care of anything you need. The only thing I'd say is that it might be slightly more expensive than the one you listed. It will be...

Re: Drymistat tubes

Well... this was my thread from almost two years ago. The advice given to me is still very solid today. I still have my drymistats but I only use them in my travel humidor.

In the two years...

Re: I think I got a dud Xikar lighter

I have that lighter. When you fill it make sure you turn the flame adjustment all the way down. After filling turn the knob all the way up and then back off about 1/8 turn.

Also... I'm on my...

Re: Does anyone have experience with either of these Humi's?

I had the Treasure Dome humidor and after about 6 months the lid fell off. It is made out of MDF with a veneer. The screws holding the lid on are all in a line across the hinge and they split the...

Re: need help finding a good mild-med cigar

I like the Gran Habano vintage 2002 but I wouldn't classify them as mild-medium.... more like medium to full but that's just MHO. I think you are on the right track with the 5 vegas gold. They are...

Re: Old Dirty's Humidor

She's a beauty Ed! As usual, a piece of art!! The one concern I'd have is the small squares that allow air flow between the middle and the tray sections. If the sensors are telling the humidifier...

I think Bill Clinton figured out how to combine his two favorite smells... just sayin...

For me it is definitely the smell of the cedar/tobacco when opening my humidor. You think they would...

Re: Waxing Moon Humidor Thread

I guess this is what I see... either this or some viking warrior with a winged helmet. Definitely something more badass... but it's my humidor so I probably just don't want to see a puppet in it. :)...

Re: Gurkha Crest

Well... I'm telling ya... especially the second third of the Crest... it tasted JUST like an Opus X lost city to me. Maybe not quite as rich but the flavors were absolutely there. I just wish I...

Re: Gurkha Crest

Read your review... "nuts and cocoa"... almonds and chocolate perhaps? I was worried I spent too much money on these... gurkhas get lambasted a lot. I REALLY enjoyed these! Glad I'm not the only...

Gurkha Crest

I bought a 10 pack of these pretty cheap about a month ago and I'm trying one right now for the first time.

I was a bit worried at first because I was getting some kind of cigarette butt flavor...

Re: Cigar ledger?

I use a book-bound journal. I just grabbed the one from Officemax that looked like the pages were the LEAST likely to start falling out. Since it isn't a ring-binder there really isn't any way to...

Re: Cigar ledger?

I have a journal that I tape the cigar bands in. My memory operates much better with the visual reference. I usually write a few notes about the cigar and the month/year I smoked it. I can get 6...

Re: Mission: Accomplished.

Nice work! My wife LOVES the CAO flavours line. Her favorite is the moontrance and the Eileen's dream is a close second in that line. If your wife likes coffee flavored cigars give her a Java by...

Re: Experiences with Gurkha Crest?

Thanks for the responses fellas... is it safe to assume then that not many have tried the Crest or maybe it just wasn't memorable enough to remember anything about them?

Experiences with Gurkha Crest?

Yes, I know... many of you hate Gurkha. I've been around long enough to figure that one out.

I picked up a 10 pack of the Crests from C.I. for $40 (with free shipping) and thought at $4/each I...

Re: The Waxingmoon experience
