I usually recommend getting a 22" Weber kettle as you can also smoke with it. They're very easy to smoke on and there are many tutorials on how to do this.

Yep, I use the cheapest, high fat ground beef, ball them, flatten them once, add S&P, and throw them on the screaming hot hibachi.

I did a boneless rib roast on the mini-wsm last night. It was a tiny roast at about 2.5 lbs. Simple S&P and EVOO. The single chunk of hickory I used was a bit much for my taste though, otherwise...

Your WSM body might not be tall enough to hang ribs. You probably might have to rig a hanger rod at least a few inches above your main grate level. Easy to fabricate with some rebar and a welder. ...

But seriously, they cook differently when hung, kind of like using a rotisserie.

Thanks guys! I'm having tons of fun with the drum smoker. I think I've punched enough holes in the drum and plugged up old ones experimenting with grates and diffuser placement....lol..
