Smoker Cloaker?

Anyone have any experience with these things? I keep seeing them advertised on FSS/Cigar Monster, and though I'm always interested in anything that can keep my cigars and my girlfriend at peace I'm...

Re: Pics of your ashtray

Wow, sweet looking. Did you cast that, or was it milled from a billet? I ask because I have a milling machine myself and have made a few exceedingly ugly ashtrays on it, nothing approaching this...

Re: Cheap Smoke Thread

Got a few more for the list; Pirate's Gold Maduro and Piloto Cubano, got both for $1 a piece on Cbid, both have surprised me with some nice toasty notes with a hint of caramel.

It's more likely that the gag order is coming from the producer, they might feel that it devalues their brand if they let it be known that they are making cheap smokes.

Cool Re: What cigar did you smoke today II?

Wow, I'm at a Perdomo event smoking up a storm, the casualties so far:

1 El Mejor Espresso toro (with the yardwork)

1 Oliva Serie V lancero...

Re: Cuban tobacco

According to the rules laid out by the Bush administration, as a US citizen you aren't allowed to consume a Cuban product anywhere in the world, even if it's legal where you happen to be... Any...

Re: What are the must have boxes...

One of my regular buys on Cbid are 5 Vegas Miamis, they fall right into that sweet spot of always sounding pretty good and being cheap enough, as in <$2/stick, to make an excellent "backdrop" for...

Chain Smoking

I don't know what's gotten into me, but twice in the last month I've had an evening where I've sat down with a cigar and a coke to read or something, and ended up smoking 4 sticks back to back. I'm...

Re: Backordering Diesel Cigars

Just picked up a fiver on CBid, sitting on them a few days while I let them adjust from the trip. Might have overpaid a bit at 20 for the 5, but I'd heard such good things about them that I couldn't...

Re: Wanted to Throw up :pu

I recently resisted the urge to say something similar to a retailer near my house who had Hemingway Short Stories marked at 14.99 each. He's the only cigar retailer on the island I live on and we...

Re: What kind of cutter/punch do you use?

I have a cheapy combo v/guillotine that I usually stick in my pocket, plus a punch on my keyring. Typically I punch larger RG cigars, especially shorter ones like robustos, I feel that the...

Re: Pictures of you smoking!

Yeah, that pic IS sort of mugshotish, but that's what I was going for with that one. Here's a better one of me smoking on Halloween while dressed as The Comedian from Watchmen.

Re: What's your Halloween Cigar?

I went as The Comedian from Watchmen, so I had to have cigar going at all times as part of my costume...:banger For economies sake I mostly stuck to some value line bundle cigars I had lying around,...

Re: Dealing with Smoking Nazis

So, you'd all approve the use of my "SteamPunk SpecOps Rifle" on them?

Re: Dealing with Smoking Nazis

Perhaps I'll make some noises about them free riding off of my premium smoke, and me being so generous as to not even charge them for the privilege... Maybe I can actually make one blow a blood...

Dealing with Smoking Nazis

In my introductory post to the board, I mentioned how my state is rife with anti-smoking Nazis who like to be passive aggressive in public, in my case often at the ferry docks. In general I tend to...

Re: Drive by herfing: Tell me about it

Re: What is an Aficionado

I'm totally with the sentiment here so far, price does not necessarily correlate with value, and there are plenty of great cigars that won't break your bank. As to those other "Aficionados", I think...

Re: It's like having a steak in your pocket...

I didn't even get to the part where I break out the nub tool on my keychain to finish off a really good smoke, I get at least 3 questions about what I'm smoking every time, and a buncj of cracks...

Cedar Oil?

I got a brainstorm when I saw some in the aromatherapy rack at the health food store the other day, so I'm running a little experiment in humidor "cedaring". I got a bundle of decent if slightly...

It's like having a steak in your pocket...

...Which is how I've been describing the appeal of cigars to puzzled cigarette smokers lately, a lot of them just don't seem to "get" something that you don't inhale and aren't addicted to. I take...
