Once again Thank You to DPD6030 (Andrew) for a Partagas PC.
Much stronger than his recent peers, but "MMM-MMM-GOOD".

DPD6030 (Andrew) provided a Por Larranaga PC ha ba na (can I say that here?).
Absolutely delicious, very earthy, loamy (think freshly tilled rich, black farmland).
Left a marvelous aftertaste....

Re: What cigar did you smoke today II?

Casa Fuente from their sampler.
Looks like a petite corona.
Very much Opus-like IMHO.
Kicking my @ss, and loving every minute of it!

Re: Looking to get 1st French Press, Ideas?

I bought the Capresso Infinity at an after Christmas sale at a local Dept store.
Very pleased with its performance, I had been using various "whirly-bird" grinders for over 20 years, and the burr...

Re: Mokapots, Moka, or Stovetop Espresso, Period.

We do have at least one (maybe two) local commercial roasters, I think Pears and MJ Java both roast locally.
I have thought about contacting...

Re: Mokapots, Moka, or Stovetop Espresso, Period.

Re: Why not BIGGER than 1-3 cup Mokapot?

I recently bought a six-cup I found at Target (the one pictured in their TV ad), but am still feeling my way through it.
I am certain the product will improve as I refine my brewing technique, but...

Re: Brined turkey or chicken

I have brined several turkeys for both oven roasting and smoking and highly recommend it.
I use the brine recipe from Emeril (scroll down for the brine)...

Re: Mokapots, Moka, or Stovetop Espresso, Period.

OK, the cigars weren't enough of an obsession / drain on the budget.
Last night I bought the Moka pot pictured above from Target (it is NOT a Brikka, but a 6 cup Moka).
Just brewed the first pot...

Re: Bad Coffee Thread

Chocolate Raspberry Truffle flavored coffee.
My ex-wife bought a bag of these beans at Mr. Bulky years ago and the stuff smelled like BEER.
Come to think of it, most flavored coffees taste like...

Re: Mokapots, Moka, or Stovetop Espresso, Period.

Re: What cigar hooked you?
