Re: Star Trek: TOS

Recently rewatched the whole series. I was surprised there were a few I hadn't seen. Some strange episodes that weren't rerun very often. "Friday's Child" - Star Fleet officer killing a Klingon...

Re: Tatuaje Negociant Monopole 2017

Thanks guys, Tom - Hope to be there next year (or anywhere), but don't expect me to wax poetic about a cigar at a herf. I'm usually too busy enjoying the ambience (and avoiding you).

Tatuaje Negociant Monopole 2017

Bought this at a Pete event in nearby Akron 4.5 years ago. Supposed to be like a wine negociant label. It is quite tasty with a creamy, nutty taste and notes of dry decaying wood with hints of fruit,...

Re: Black spots on hartflet beads. HELP!!#

I sprayed distilled water on mine, but over wet them and shook the excess off. That's a no-no too. It changes the humidifying % and lead to those same black spot mold.

Re: Black spots on hartflet beads. HELP!!#

I'm not an expert, but I'd say it's time to get new beads. Perhaps you kept them too moist. I did that since I didn't want to keep rehumidifying them as often and that happened to me too. I wouldn't...

Re: Moving to Ohio

Possibly, I've been the last few years. I'll let you know when I'm in town.

After a head spinning weekend of house hunting, we are under contract for a home in Heath. Looking forward to getting...

Re: Moving to Ohio

My job is relocating me and despite my ranting above, I am pretty happy about this choice, all things considered. Having a job til I retire and being closer to family mean a lot. Moving the end of...

Moving to Ohio

That's right, I'm leaving super, sunny, southern California for cold, wet and gloomy Newark, Ohio (not to mention hot and humid). I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, still have family in Michigan and...

Re: Shop in Cypress, CA

Not really, but I live 5 miles from there. Unfortunately, I am going out of town this weekend and don't have any time tonight. Maxamar in Orange is 30 minutes away and worth checking out.

Re: Tatuaje Black Corona Gorda

I smoked two - the first was easily better than the original on release, in my opinion. The second was not. How's that for being non-informative.

I did find the taste similar to the original, but...

Re: Funny Pics II

Supposedly, it's hard to tell the difference between them and calamari when they're fried (except for the tentacles).

Re: Donnie Darko

The director's cut includes a lot of deleted scenes that include parts of the book on time travel that explains a lot of what was going on. Well worth watching, it takes the film to a new level.

Re: Cabaiguan Guapos Maduro

I've never been a fan of the maduro, but loved the OR Guapos. I smoked one of the OR a year or two ago (about 4 years old?) and it was better than ever, a really remarkable cigar. I bought a few...

Re: Employers Medical Insurance Change is Gonna Bite Me In The A$$

My employer is doing the same thing. Why not enroll in the quit for life program just like the ciggy smokers?

Re: OK, I've deciced, this is my favorite

Probably my favorite NC producer, but picking a favorite out of the 88, 888, HL and MK is hard enough, not to mention the box-pressed Eperneys, et al.

Re: Crowned Heads JD Howard Reserve

They are out now. I had one and loved it, looking forward to smoking the rest of the sampler. Nice to have a great "regular" release and not something you have to hunt down.

Re: Lanceros

Illusione Holy Lances were one of my favorites, but for some reason I haven't smoked one in a while. Time to remedy that situation tonight!

Re: Great Zoos of the United States - A Photo Thread

Great idea for a thread. I used to be a member of the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, but let it lapse when the kids grew up (but honestly, it was mostly for me). A couple days ago, I was talking...

Re: What Tatuaje had the best flavor profile for you?

Top has to be the The Pork Tenderloin.

Next up, it's a toss-up between the Boris (much better than the Frank IMO) and the Reserva SW maduro. The Little Boris is really good too.

After that,...

Re: Illusione MK Corona

OK, I've compared wrapper color on these and my gold and white banded mk from 2011 is actually darker than the black and white band and the Ultra, go figure.

I also smoked one of the black and...

Re: Illusione MK Corona

According to Dion, the blend didn't change, just the band. That being said, that dark wrapper doesn't look anything like the older mks I've seen. (I'll check mine). So is the new band release just...
