I always roast 12 oz at a time and set for 1# and add the extra time up front. Unless the temp in my garage is rather cool, I never get to that 1:00 mark swearing whether I'm going to hit 2nd crack.

I always find myself roasting just into 2nd crack. Maybe I'll come up just a bit short of 2nd crack when I roast some next week.

It's gonna be a good roast day. I'm gonna roast some Kona and some 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain. Will likely roast 1.5# of Kona for cold brewing and 1.5# JBM for French press.

Zimbabwe AA Plus Estate Salimba ROTT.

This particular bean seems to be taking 2-3 more minutes than most other varieties to get to FC+ in my Poppery II.

I don't know what the roast would come out to be as I roasted the whole pound for 6-1/2 to 7 minutes in my "official" SM's recommended West Bend Poppery II, but the Ethopian stuff I roasted last...

I just roasted a pound of the Ethopia Illubaor-Camp Cooperative from SM's.

I sure as hell don't understand any of this full city to FC+, but I sure as hell know I roasted it darker than my last...
