Re: Whats in your bowl?
Thanks for the leaf to review Rev. I didn't notice any Cherry except for the faint room note. The Lakeland effect could be the reason the topping didn't shine through.

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Gawith & Hoggarth Cherry Cream Flake that the Rev had sent me for a blind review a while back. Wife appreciated the aroma and was a nice puff.

Re: pnoon's what cigar did you smoke today VII?
After leaving Oliva as a master blender he started his own brand in 2012 in partnership with Torano which was bought by General Cigar shortly after. As far as I can tell General and Leccia parted...

Re: Restoring a Grabow
Nice looking pipe! I used to enjoy the restoration process and all are solid puffers.
I used teflon tape on the screw of an old Kaywoody that couldn't turn enough. Tape stays close to the stem so...

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Went back to large bowl brandy for a few bowls of C&D Pegasus. Never was a fan of most burley blends but was impressed with this one.

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Mixed some McClelland No.27 VA with SG Golden Glow to tame the brightness which is a bit much who's preference strays from straight VAs. Worked well for me and was enjoyable in a Sav seconds poker.

G&H Bright CR flake in a Weingott Brandy. Great straight VA blend with very little soapiness on the back end.

In the process of dusting off some pipes as well after perusing cigar prices. A couple restored Kaywoodies to be exact with a bowl of H&H Marble Kake 8/16 and PS Navy Flake 1/06. Both good smoking...

Re: Coolidor question!
If your 'dors are close to practical capacity and the 'gars in boxes then I doubt that a fan would have any impact at all. I would be more concerned with temperature swings which is why the basement...

Re: Blind Review Participants - pipe tobacco
BLEND #3
1) Aesthetics: the look of the tobacco - rough cut, ribbon cut, cubed cut, brick, flake, what colors, maybe even the tin’s aesthetic appeal (maybe this is better for describing a pipe)...
