Re: New DE MUWAT release

The "peaty scotch" description caught my attention so dig a little googling. Found them at a place called Finck Cigar Company. I've never heard of them...anyone dealt with this company before?

Re: Do Our Prejudices Show?

I don't post a whole lot, but I enjoy reading the forums. I would say that the Asylum sets up my expectations of certain cigars, but the "smoke what you like" mantra has a strong following and I...

Where in Brooklyn? How long have you been here?

I also live in Brooklyn, and you are right, it can be difficult to find a spot where you can stop and sit with a cigar where you can feel...

Re: Padilla La Terraza?

CI had these on sale a little while back and I picked up a 10er of the maduro in the robusto size. I had my first one last weekend and am going back for more. I found it to be a well made stick,...

Re: Going to NY, Any specific cigar spots I should know about?

My wife sent me this link for Merchants Cigar Bar

A groupon type site. The $40 offer seems decent, two cocktails, two appetizers and two...

Re: NFL Survival Pool

Looks like Yahoo has a problem or it can tell the future. I'm hoping for the latter - I am now listed as the "winner" even though there are two other people left. You can tell who everyone picked,...

Re: NFL Survival Pool

Down to five survivors. Close call for those of us who took Baltimore.

I was wondering - what happens if the remaining survivors all lose in the same week? I can imagine everyone picking the...

Re: Alec Bradley Cigars

Big fan of the Tempus, but the SCR....not so much. Maxx and the 1997 Harvest were also pretty good in my book.

Anyone tried the Tempus Maduro? One of those cigars that have been on my list for...

Re: NFL Survival Pool

I was all set to go the safe route this week after a close call with Philly, but now Pittsburgh is starting Charlie Batch on the road against the Bucs? Hmm.....

Re: Best Places in the World to Smoke a Cigar (article)

Surprised to see that I regularly smoke at the number one place in the world (well, at least according to this guy). You have to pick a time when it's not crowded with tourists, otherwise it's...

Re: Ordering stuff from CI and had a question

Well, if you order in the next 2 hours or so you could go with the 1 day deal:

http://www.cigarsinternational.com/html/spec_oneday.asp

You could get two of those for around $50. I'd vote for...

No, surprisingly not - it does seem like I have bought a cigar for just about every other reason though:

- I wanted to give the manufacturer one...

Re: What was your last Scotch purchase?

Went to the a tasting hosted by Macallan last night. It was a nice free event, so I thought I would give them a little plug here. Not a fan of the fine oaks, but I thought the 18 yo sherry oak was...

Re: 5 vegas

I think Nestor Placencia is behind 5 Vegas. I'm not sure if he is responsible for all the blends though. I believe the Limitada was from La Aurora, at least the 2006 blend was.

Re: Box of Opus X on Cigar Monster! 22 Cigars Anni

Best Selling Cigar?

I've seen Macanudos referenced as America's best selling cigar. Is that true? Looking around the Asylum you wouldn't think that they are that popular - you don't exactly see guys posting pictures...
