Re: Vanilla Aromatic?

Stanwell Vanilla is probably the best vanilla flavored pipe tobacco I have had in twenty years of pipe smoking. It's readily available and inexpensive.

Re: Looking for a Pipe shop in Arkansas

I know Frank Romeo of Romeo's. He has a great shop in Bentonville and as it stands right now, the pipe club at the shop is hosting the 66th World Smoking Contest and Show for the IAPSC in October....

Re: Working on tobacco farms

This is nothing new. I remember watching a story on 60 minutes twenty years ago about this. Frankly, it's a crappy seasonal job that someone has to do. We've all been there at some point in our lives...

Re: First Look: Miami Cigar & Company 25th Anniversary Cigar Band

Classy. Kind of an art deco look to them.

Re: Drew Estates Kentucky Fire Cured...

Fire cured Kentucky is used alot in pipe tobacco blends. It's more of a condiment and a little bit goes a long way.

Re: Semi-Fake Original Mixture Balkan Sobranie

As a matter of fact, I have a tin of Blue Mountain that I intend to open very soon. I'm aware of, but have not tried the Black House. I wish I had the funds to try every new blend that came out, but...

Re: Semi-Fake Original Mixture Balkan Sobranie

Oh, I dried it for sure. That was the first thing I noticed was that it was excessively moist. As it is, I find it rough. However, I have a lot of respect for Germain's blends in general and I feel...

Re: Semi-Fake Original Mixture Balkan Sobranie

I found it to be bitey and one dimensional. The different elements fighting to be noticed instead of a marriage of complementary flavors. I won't buy any more, but I will share it at pipe club. For...

Re: Latitude and longitude and compass heading question.

If your 120 degree heading is magnetic, then that would be east southeast. If you have an actual compass, I think you will have no problem.

Re: Tin Tobacco?

McClelland does Holiday Spirit, which is very Christmasy in terms of flavor. They also annually release an aged straight virginia blend every year called Christmas Cheer. Vintage, specially selected,...

Re: Pipe screens

I've smoked a pipe for twenty years and have never met another pipe smoker that uses them. I don't use them either, I might add. No offense to anyone, but they are drug paraphernalia.

Re: Renters insurance and cigars

The last time I had renters insurance I read every word in the policy. When I got to the end of the policy, it said that they would not pay out on a claim that arises due to thermonuclear detonation.

Re: Another Costco cigar event (with a picture)

In Wall E, the entire economy and government was under the control of a chain of shopping centers called Buy'N'Large at the time of world environmental collapse. Consume mass quantities.

Re: It's Official, WI Passed Conceal & Carry

In Michigan, if the county gun board does not approve your application within 30 of applying then they have to issue a temporary permit. Assuming they haven't found a legitimate reason to deny you. I...

Re: estate falcon questions

Nothing much to add, except that you need to be careful reaming the bowl because the draft hole exits the bowl straight down. You don't want to tear that up with over enthusiastic reaming. I believe...

Re: Home network monitoring?

I feel for you having to deal with HughesNet. I assume it's your only option? My experience with them was awful. I live in the stix and couldn't get any other service at the time. The utilities never...

Re: Don't be a [male sexual organ]...

I agree with pretty much most of the opinions here. My personal pet peeve is when I am driving on the highway and a state owned vehicle blows by me doing 90mph, or driving erratically. While these...

Re: 85 year old cigar for my birthday

No wonder George Burns aged so well, he was an El Producto smoker. The longevity of his cigars must have rubbed off on him.
