Re: Palette range - top 5 cigars

My top 5

Cohiba Robusto
Monte #4
Quai d’Orsay corona (the cigar that made me “get it”, coming from NCs)
PSD4
RASS

YMMV, but I think that gives a nice panel. I don’t like pyramids, so I tend...

Re: RH drops from 70-71 to 63-66 when opening Coolidor.

Good enough. Just a standard line of questions. I still think you’re good with swings when it opens, especially if there are extreme differences between the room and the cooler. If it’s back where...

Re: RH drops from 70-71 to 63-66 when opening Coolidor.

You’d be hard pressed to find someone who didn’t stare at the hygrometer for hours on end, worrying about the slightest fluctuation. I’ll admit I worried about it too. I’m lucky to check in more than...

Re: RH drops from 70-71 to 63-66 when opening Coolidor.

He’s smarter than the average ass.

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

A skerton sounds like a great idea until you crank that M.F. about 10,000 times, and then you hate it.

I have a vintage hand grinder that I hate with a passion. It makes a great grind, but I hate...

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

It's all a matter of personal preference. I've brewed beans fresh off the cooling tray, and I've waited 3-4 days. If you are French-pressing the coffee, give it two or three days to degas. Other...

Re: What's the last movie you watched?

21 Jump Street.

Cameos were great (no, I ain't tellin who), and all around funny. Only downside was the $10.50 ticket price. When did THAT happen? [/Crotchety Old Man]
