Just a note about the heat shrink tubing. The 3M is far superior to the Ideal sold at Lowes. Costs twice as much, but let's face it, it isn't much of an expense either...

I have a reasonable selection of tobaccos, but I find myself smoking PA or CH for my first pipe most of the time. I think I want to avoid any confusion early, so it's a very basic "foundation"...

In almost 50 years of pipe smoking I have never owned a Czech tool. Always had a pipe nail or a Brebbia nail, though. Or a golf tee -- I'm thinking about breaking out the extra long golf tees that...

I got a Forever stem just this Monday and love it! It's converted me to smoking more of my cobs than my briars! I like being able to pop the bowl off the Forever stem and grab a fresh one. Right...
