Re: Your Everyday Gear

I love threads like this. It's always fascinated me to see what items others can't leave the house without. While I appreciate minimalism, there's also several things that I just feel naked without....

Re: Heading to Seattle

Definitely judge this book by it's cover. I was very impressed when I went. And I believe they have a taco buffet once a week, or something like that...

Re: Heading to Seattle

That's the lounge I was thinking of. AWESOME place to hang out for a smoke. Inside BJ's Bingo, and right next to a Chinese restaurant called, I think, "The Poodle Dog."

Re: Heading to Seattle

If you're in to music, the EMP is right by the Space Needle. The Experience Music Project is a modern musical (mostly rock and roll) museum, and it's easily worth setting aside a few hours for....

I'm deployed to the beautiful country of Afghanistan right now, and won't be back for another 8 months or so. I've decided to send my wife on a quest for THE bottle of bourbon that's going to be...

Re: Hey from Afghanistan

I like that. It feels good to have a humidor again. I've missed the smell of tobacco and cedar, and I've missed what a good cigar can do to the last hours of a long day. Looking forward to...

Hey from Afghanistan

How's it going, fellas? I used to be active on here, but after going through Basic Training in early '11, and then being stationed in Germany from then to now, I fell out of the cigar game. Just got...

Re: What are you listening to?

Is anybody else listening to In Waves? I'm still waiting for my pre-ordered copy to get here, so I'm having to settle for the few singles available on youtube. The wait is killing me...

Re: Tattoos?

That's where I'd get tattoos for my kids, if I had any. Somewhere close to the heart. Probably on one of my pecs. I don't know if I'd like a sternum tattoo, but something a little off-center like the...

Re: Anyone have any Tattoo's

And I know that for the Marines, the newest policy is that it has to be smaller than your hand. I'll wait until I'm in to get any more, and even then I'll be sure it's perfectly acceptable before.

Re: Anyone have any Tattoo's

I've already got one planned for if/when I get into the Marines, but not a day sooner lol. I don't have any NAVY ideas, but figure out what you want to get, and mull it over for a month or 3. Think...

Re: Anyone have any Tattoos

Who's the artist? I'm taking my little sister to get her first tattoo for her 18th birthday next October, and I'll be getting my next. We're going to Slave to the Needle in Seattle. Aaron Bell is...

Re: Anyone have any Tattoo's

Then Lucky's advice is perfect. If you choose a location that is easily covered by clothing, you should be fine. Make sure the tattoo means something to you, research your artists to find a talented...

Re: Anyone have any Tattoo's

I have/had 2. I've got the UV flames on my left forearm, and I've still got "Fidelitas" on my right wrist, but as it's my saluting arm, I was instructed to get it removed if I ever wanted a future...

Re: Songs that speak to you

Normally I can't even pay enough attention to any lyrics enough to remember them. I truly listen to rock for the guitar, and the song as a whole. Lyrics usually play little to no part in how much I...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I think they have Bulleit there too. I'm heading there in a bit, and the price will make my mind as to which I'll be trying tonight. I will most definitely be posting back here with my review.

Re: Humidors stolen, I need some kind words...

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I can't even imagine what it must be like to go through this kind of violation of valued and private property. But, as many else have said, at least nobody was...

Do your tastes change with the weather?

It's getting cold here in Ellensburg. It's been below 32 when I've woken up for the past week or so, and sweaters and jackets are becoming more and more necessary. I've been out of cigars for a while...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I know they've got Woodford at the local Liquor store, maybe I'll start off with a bottle of that. I'll definitely report back. I wasn't a fan of whiskey until I tried bourbon, and I'm quite excited...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I'm new to the bourbon game. I've only tried Maker's Mark (It was a Halloween party and I was too sauced to taste any of it), Jim Beam (No thanks), and Wild Turkey Rare Breed. The Rare Breed, at...
