Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
I know the feeling Ben. Keep telling myself I won’t buy anything more, then I come home with a new bottle.
My friend was in Gatlinburg over the weekend. Sent me a pic of a bottle he bought. Willet...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
I really enjoyed it Tom. Especially for the first pours from the bottle. Only like 92 proof, but packs a lot of flavor.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Stopped by my local store. JDSBBP Rye store pick. Ahh…yup! Drinking my third ~1oz pour. Delicious. How JD makes these drink so easy for such a high proof (131.6 in this case) is amazing.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Thank you Ben, that makes more sense. Whoever gave the sample to the owner, wrote on the bottle with marker that has partially worn off. Thus why it’s easy to confuse Old Forester for Old Fitz.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Makers did something similar with their Cellar Aged. I’ve been searching the web for any info if what I was told was true, but haven’t found anything. Maybe Ben knows?
Either way, it was...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
No, unfortunately. I believe I’m getting the sample second hand. He just told me it spent 13 years in the barrel, then another 12 in a stainless cask before bottling.

Stopped by my local store to see if they had anything new. The Four Roses store pick is in, the owner is still figuring out when he’s going to release it. Snagged one of their Woodenville Rye picks....

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
I’ve slowed my buying. Working on killing some bottles before I start restocking. Finished a Barrel Foundation yesterday. It’s decent, but not sure I’ll buy again anytime soon.

Siri, remind me to never offer Dave or Tom a pour of the Apprentice Batch should either end up in SEMI. Definitely remind me to hide my backup bottle. :D

Nice haul James. :tu
Revisited my JDSBBP bottles (regular and rye) this afternoon while watching soccer. Man I love both of them. But that rye, wow.

I think it was the Mash and Drum on YouTube I saw recently review the WT Triumph. Had the same conclusion as you, Ben.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Surprised me too. I was told Michigan wouldn’t see Bookers until sometime in June due to a distributor change. So when the shop owner mentioned Bookers, I was expecting the 2024-01.
As for this...
