Re: EU Shipping?
It's quite possible. I don't remember a specific Davidoff mention, but I'll look and see if I still have the boxes with shop names.

Re: EU Shipping?
There are two great shops in Paris, I'm trying to remember their names. One is '22' something, it's their address. The other one, I believe, was called La Civet.
I think I still have some of their...

Re: EU Shipping?
Rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. ;)
I tend to lurk here occasionally rather than post much due to work and real life constraints. Although I've created a group of cigar fiends...

Re: EU Shipping?
Eggopp is right about carrying them in yourself. Depending on where you are in Germany a road trip to Switzerland could yield substantial savings. And a fondue.

Re: EU Shipping?
Not sure if I can really help you there, but I've got my anecdotal evidence from living in the UK. Anything shipped as tobacco, whether from an EU member or abroad, gets hit with a hefty duty here. ...

Re: Cuban beer?
I tried the beer. It was fizzy and alcoholic and might be well suited to a day under a hot sun but it was certainly nothing I would pursue again.
Although it did lack the 'twang' so it might have...

Re: Cuban beer?
According to the label it's brewed in Holguin. My Cuban geography is complete rubbish so maybe that is in Havana. Regardless, I expect it to be a novelty beer so I'm quite confident my expectations...

Re: Cuban beer?
I had a suspicion no one would come along and say 'it's amazing!'. I like Cuban cigars, Cuban music and some Cuban food. I find aside from the novelty as a Yank, I don't even really like Cuban rum...

Cuban beer?
Anyone tried any? My wife just came home from Copenhagen and brought me a few beers, one is from Cuba. It's called Cubanero Fuerte made by Bucanero SA in Holguin Cuba.
I've never heard of it. My...

Re: Why English is so hard to learn...
And not to mention the infamous 'ough' pronunciation.
A rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful ploughman strode through the streets of Scarborough; after falling into a slough, he coughed and...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Had a can of Maui brewery Coconut Porter tonight. Lovely.
Damn shame it will probably be the last one as I know no one in Maui. Other than that, the Greenwich Meantime brewery makes a mean IPA.

Time for more anecdotal evidence to take or leave at your discretion.
When I lived in the States I had proper climate control in the house. Here in London that is an exceedingly difficult task. I...

The virus infected Lemmy and then promptly died. The pig also died even though he was in Mexico and Lemmy was in Wales. Medical marvel to be honest. It's a little known fact but Lemmy's blood is...

Re: Lets talk about the Swine flu...
F* it. I'm smoking my aged stock now.
If I'm still alive in two weeks, well hell. Guess I'll have to get more and remind the Mrs. how lucky we are to be alive.

Re: What's your favorite IPA?
Could not agree more. Aside from things like the Bill of Rights and being able to find a public space to smoke in, homebrewing is what I have missed the most since moving to London.

I must disagree with some of what is said here. I am no entomologist, but I have first-hand experience of beetles hatching at far under 80 degrees. I'm talking about London in autumn and spring.

Re: Grapples
Years ago they when I lived in Seattle they were a novelty to purchase at Albertsons. One day I did that and tried one... this my friends, is a true Frankenfood. Just avoid.
