Actually, with protools, if you have a fuzzy or slightly buzzy track, you can clear it up. Sure, it takes an hour or so but...it works.
Before I had money, I used to use a mic from Rockband...

Im not familiar with any software, other than protools. Pretty much any software with a good mixer is the best. I wouldnt recommend protools unless you take a class, because it is an exhausting...
