Definitely 2-stage with electric start. Avoid plastic components like the throw chute. Dollar for dollar get the largest impeller diameter you can with a horsepower rating between 5-8. Craftsman...

With my minimal experience I prefer the V-cut because more of the cap is retained & I seem to get a better bite on the cigar. Of the two V-cutters, I much prefer the one with the inverted blades...
