Re: Absinthe Afternoon

I really enjoy the taste of absinthe, but rarely drink it due to the price. To me (and others I've spoken to), absinthe tastes very similar to black licorice. Ironically, I hate the taste of black...

Re: World No Tobacco Day

I've already had a Nub Cameroon in celebration of this day (awesome smoke, BTW). I'm going through my options, trying to think of what to smoke tonight.

Re: Absinthe Afternoon

Try convincing a few friends to pitch in and buy a bottle together. That way you can all try it, but if anyone decides they don't like it you're not out too much cash.

Or just make friends with...

Re: Absinthe Afternoon

I enjoy cigars and I enjoy absinthe. I've never tried the two together though. I'll have to remedy that.

Re: Spiders tried to eat my face.

That's good to know that they responded and took care of you. I hope they take a look to see if there's a way to prevent it.

Re: Sweet and/or Sweetened Tip smokes?

For a short smoke with a sweetened tip try a Bandido. At 50 cents, quite a decent smoke.

Re: Cigars & cigarettes

I don't smoke cigarettes often; I've probably had less than a pack my entire life. Other than cigars, I smoke hookah (with tobacco, not the other stuff!).

Re: ACID Nasty

I've never had a Nasty, but I actually like Drew Estate, and I'd try one if I had one. My favorite DE is the Earthiness, which actually does taste like "spicy dirt". It sounds unappealing (dirt?...

Re: Walk in humidor finally done

Tell me about it. :) Most of the cigar boxes in there are actually empty. When the carpenters were done with the work they wanted to do a "photo op" with their creation and asked me to make it look...

Re: CRA cigars

When I joined the CRA and got my 2 free cigars I figured that they would be, at best, mediocre. However, one of them was quite good and the other was one of the best smokes I've had in a long time. I...

Re: Walk in humidor finally done

The total cost was about $5,000. When I think to all the use the humidor is going to get in the coming years I think it was well worth it. :D

Re: Walk in humidor finally done

My smoke room has two vents that suck all the smoke outside. They do a great job to keep the smell from going to the rest of the house.

Re: Walk in humidor finally done

lol it was much easier than that. It was more like "Honey I want a kitchen" and "Honey I want a smoke room/walk in humidor". Both of us wanted what we wanted bad enough to give in to the other. :D

I've never seen that hygrometer, but it certainly looks useful. Where is it from? Also, I've never had much luck with humidipaks. If I'm not going to be storing cigars for a long time in a travel...

Re: Walk in humidor finally done

That was my dream as well! When my wife and I bought our house we were tired of freezing while smoking outside during the winter. So we had a room built into the basement with two fans to pull out...
