Re: Chasidor Drawers for Vinotemp VT-28TEDS

I wouldn't totally enclose it, meaning I would leave about 2-3 inches of space around all edges for it to "breathe" as it is not front venting (I don't believe?). It also depends on the temp/climate...

Re: Smoking cigars in Atlantic city?

+1 for the Borgata, I've smoked cigars throughout and never had any issues.

Re: Let's talk balls....GOLF balls

I love the e6, great ball for the mid to high handicapper IMO. To be honest, I think a lot of ppl that play the V1s, and other expensive 3 piece balls, are only playing them because of their name....

Re: Padron Anniversary 1964 - Serial Number Question

I'm not worried that they aren't sequential, just wondering if the numbers indicate anything, like age. Or if they are just kind of randomly, in a sense, placed on the cigars.

Padron Anniversary 1964 - Serial Number Question

So, I got a couple of these as a gift for my bday:banger

I noticed that they both have an individual serial number under the main band, do these serial numbers mean anything, like in regards to...

Re: Bead distribution in this humi

I would say the more evenly distributed the beads are the better, no? Experiment with placement until every shelf/drawer reads what you like. Look into adding fans too if you can't keep the desired...

Colibri Customer Service??

My Colibri lighter stopped working, there seems to be a problem inside the lighter. The button (for lack of better word) is very loose and does not seem to catch to spark the lighter anymore. It...

Re: Edgestar, Avanti, Vinotemp

From what I've read, I don't believe there is much of an issue with keeping the cigars cooler than 70, I think 60-70 is usually fine. It may be harder to maintain your desired RH at lower temps but...

Re: Edgestar, Avanti, Vinotemp

This may be my own personal experience and not necessarily true for all Edgestar brands but, my Edgestar seems to sit right about 60f-63f at the highest temperature setting(which isn't terrible). I...

Re: What's the best way to plug the drain on a Vino?/Edgestar?

I've heard of people using pretty much anything. From tape to screws and now paper towels.

I would think tape would be sufficient, but in reality, having the opening is probably not a huge issue....

Re: What cigar did you smoke today II?

Romeo y Julieta Viejo, first one I smoked about a month ago was slightly plugged. This one is much better!

Re: The LGC ping lighter

I believe the philips head screw that they are referring to would be the one in the cap of the lighter, where the "PING" is actually originating from.

It seems that there is a strip of metal...

Re: What are your opinions on this little guy?

Be careful with dual zone if you plan to do both cigars and wine...cigars should be fine but the aroma from the cedar and cigars could potentially permeate the wine through the cork.

I considered...

Re: Doing an Edgestar Mod?

Think I'll have to go this route as well (ETC), as my edgestar on the warmest setting seems to settle at 58-60.

Any recommendation to a decent ETC sub $100?

Re: Doing an Edgestar Mod?

Is this a pic from the inside and did you drill through the cooler? If so, how did that go? From the picture it looks like its only plastic and styrofoam?

Re: STDupont Andalusia

$5 lighters are disposable, an $800 lighter is not. You wouldn't lose an $800 lighter.

I say go for it, but I have no idea (other than what I've read on these posts), if it truly is a good deal or...

Re: Lower RH with lower temp?

Somewhat off topic but I just picked up an edgestar as well and while running on warmest setting it doesn't seem to get up beyond 60f, seems to sit right around 58-60 while plugged in.

Is this OK?...

Re: Let's see pictures of your humidors !!

Love that wine cooler!

Are those double or single Chasden drawers?

Just got my edgestar 28 bottle today and need to figure out exactly what I'll need from Chuck.

Thanks in advance.

Re: A Basic Humidor Buying Guide

I would suggest looking into a wine cooler, vinotemp/edgestar and other options available. Pair that with some Chasden drawers/shelves (www.chasidor.com) and you should be all set!

This should...

Re: Let's see pictures of your humidors !!

Here you go a modest 50 count maybe?

Just ordered an edgestar 28 bottle and am starting to get the ball rolling on the wineador project.

Yes, I begin my decent down the "slippery slope" so many...
