I enjoy Carter Hall in a cob too. I hadn't thought about using it to 'temper' a stronger smoking tobacco. Wonder how it would be with some Tambo? Might have to try that tomorrow evening.

DMK, this is a little off subject, but I have a Jobey that looks quite a bit like the pipe on the bottom of your picture. What kind of pipe is the lower one in your photo? Thanks.

I was going to substitute a cotton ball for the salt. The bowls are pretty well caked up. I'll take it slow and easy on the reaming. Thanks Moo!

I picked up a pair of falcons with three bowls (essentially one spare) off of the auction site. I got the aluminum and stems cleaned with a soak in near boiling water with a bit of dishwashing...

Trying to work on/learn about matching my pipes to the tobacco I'm smoking. My bjarne is relatively short in length with a somewhat wide bowl. Does very well with the englishes. Smoking...
