Re: First Firearm Thread.
My newest. Lots of folks seem to hate the Browning BDM, I love it.

Since you ask. I've done about ten builds so far.
Here's an Egyptian build I did. Just finished a Romy last week, no pics yet...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Sure. Seems to be fairly common for the newer ones (MK XIX) to come with multiple barrels. It's easy to swap them out. You could get barrels up to 14" for the MK VII.
As I say, I have ZERO...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Building AR's is fine and dandy. I've got 10 or so under my belt. They don't call 'em Lego guns for nothing.
But for real fun, build AK's.
Here's an Egyptian build I just finished this week:

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Thought I'd post my latest AR build since I saw one just like it on the new show "Sons of Guns" tonight. I've had the Cobray 37mm launcher since the early '90s but never had the right combination of...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Decided to learn how to build my own AK's this year. Here are my first two attempts. It is challenging to keep both 922r compliant (http://home.comcast.net/~navy87guy/home/922r.html) and ban...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Sure you could. You just can't bring it back to NY.
When you come back up this way, if you are interested in an AR, let me know and I can help. I have built several ban-compliant AR's and am...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Only of you have a lower to go with it.
I'd be careful about buying out-of-state. The law is not on buying/selling banned firearms- it's on posession. Best to comply with the law. I buy pre-ban,...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
I didn't see an answer to this question- Post-ban uppers usually don't have bayonet lugs and threaded barrels. Some states (like mine- NY) kept the ban on "assault rifles" after the national one...

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Yeah, and the prices are pretty good, too. But I'm a bringback collector. I like the history of a rifle a soldier brought home, not something that went from one arsenal to another to a big importer....

Re: First Firearm Thread.
It depends on what you want it for. If you want a shooter or a "remember when" gift for a vet, go with a Mitchell's. But they have little collectors value and are unlikely to ever increase much. They...
