Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Most people buy the spyderco sharpmaker for knives under $150 or so. After that I think there is one called the Edgepro Apex something or another....but you'll pay through the nose for that one.

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Yeah if you're a lefty it is awfully hard to get a quality knife. The Sebenza is a good slicer, the knife lock up is amongst the best I've seen. The opening is pretty damn smooth but I expected...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Traded out my Strider SMF for a Large Sebenza, pretty nice knife. Not the 'pinnacle of knifedom' and certainly not an XM-18 but still a pretty impressive knife. Can't agreed with the price tag...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
They use to send me catalogs all the time, dvds, of the annoying company owner doing a bunch of "tests" with his knives. None of them were very valid IMHO.
Also most of their knives use Aus-8...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread

See the problem is...the knife has ZERO practical use. I think that video poster is HIGHLY mistaken if he thinks that is a good self defense knife. Flailing around a 17 OAL folder is not a...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Looks like a Benchmade Tony, what model is it?
I carried a Trident for probably a year. As long as you're not beating on it, it's a good knife. Very light weight too, I use to forget I was...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
You got me. All I know is my 2010 Blade Show Ultratech sits broken in a drawer and I highly doubt it will ever get fixed. I've even tried people in the knife making/fixing business, it works for a...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
It might just be the Blade Show 2010 or 2011 models but mine broke 3 times and is still broken. Sent it in twice, it just doesn't work.
My 2006 model works perfectly and has never failed to fire. ...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
SoG does use that low rider pocket clip that keeps 100% of the knife in your pocket. I just don't like the cheap steel and cheap handles. They seem very unbalanced to me due to the Zytel handles.

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
I'd grab any Benchmade in D2 Tool Steel. The blades tend to hold up for quite a long time and Benchmade has a great warranty.
Shame they discontinued the Benchmade Mini-Nitrous Stryker as that...

Yeah they are definitely not easy to score for any decent price. If you are lottery odds lucky you'll pay $400.
I knew something was different, lefty that was it. Bigger and heftier then the...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Which CRK is that Mychal? I've heard good things. I went Strider, I like the Hinderer XM-18's as well. Someday I'll bite the bullet. It would be a dream to have all three (Strider SMF/Large...

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
They do look cool, haven't heard anything about them though. I think I'd have to do some research and see how they compare, or don't, to Busse, Swamp Rat, ESEE etc before ordering one.

I told you what I thought already. $300 waste of money.

This one is slightly better.....
But again, get a damn Strider for like $50-$75...

The Microtechs are slimmer, carry amazingly well. I mean seriously I forget I'm carrying my Ultratech all the time. I like the position of the thumb slide better on the Microtechs.
IMHO the...
