It's very solid and fairly similar in flavor to Wild Turkey rye. They're about the same price and, by a couple of points, I'd give the edge to the bird.

Don't get me wrong- it's absolutely terrific stuff and an excellent value. I'm not knocking the product at all. I'm just trying to warn you that it's a bit 'deep end' for a first bourbon to try....

Try them in a different order- you might be surprised by how differently they come across to you.
IMO, Woodford is the best of those three by a country mile, but that's another matter. :D

From that group, I'd go with Buffalo Trace and then Blanton's (in that order), but I wouldn't buy anything from that group, anyway. :D
