Re: What are you reading?
Finished Life of Pi and now on to Last Lion - Defender of the Realm. It's part three in a Churchill biographical trilogy.

Re: What are you reading?
Just started Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil again. I read it once when it first came out and liked it a lot, but I was quite a bit younger. I'm enjoying it again.

Re: What are you reading?
Just finished the Count of Monte Cristo and started the Hunger Games, which is a very quick read. I've made it through about a 1/3 of it in what seems like very little time.

Re: What are you reading?
I'm reading it right now on my Kindle Fire and really enjoy it - both the book and the device. I paid 99 cents for the book. Hard to beat all the classics you can get for so little money.

Re: What are you reading?
When I searched for it (not on my kindle), it had a link to request an e-version to encourage the publisher to make one available. This looks like a different cover to the same book. Thanks for...

Re: What are you reading?
Excellent. I think I'd get bored with the "detailed" military history, so this sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. I appreciate the recommendation.
Edit: And, it's not available on the...

Re: What are you reading?
I assume since it is a re-read that you enjoyed it? I've been looking for a good book on the subject.

Re: What are you reading?
Just got a kindle fire for my birthday. I've downloaded a bunch of the free out-of-copyright books and love having them so close. I'm reading the Count of Montecristo right now (although it was...

Re: What are you reading?
Volume two of the Last Lion trilogy about Churchill. The first was excellent and this is picking up where it left off.

Re: What are you reading?
I really enjoyed that book. If you like it, check out 1776 by McCullough. It is excellent and a quicker read than Adams.

Re: What are you reading?
Just finished Catch-22. I had heard a lot about it and it never made it on my required reading lists in highschool, so I checked it out. I was not particularly impressed, actually, and I normally...

Re: What are you reading?
Just finished it the other day - an interesting read. Not as profound as I had heard it described, but not bad.
I'm onto "The Last Lion" right now, part I of a 2-part biography of Churchill. ...

Re: What are you reading?
The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer - It is a memoir of a soldier in the German army during WWII. When you get past the fact of which side he is on, it is a really gripping account.
