Re: What beers are you enjoying?

I had a bottle of the new Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA last night. If you open this bottle thinking you're going to get something along the lines of Dogfish 60 min, Stone IPA, Racer 5, etc, etc you're...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Having a New Belgium Ranger IPA. It's OK. New Belgium makes other beers that are much, much better than this one. I only wish they sold their beer in MA.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Pizza Port makes some really good beer. They won several medals last year at the Great American Beer Festival.

You're a tough man to satisfy! :D

That Dreadnaught is a solid beer. I...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Drank my last bottle of Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA. This might be my new favorite IPA.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Had my first Goose Island beer last night. I'm not sure which one it was but I remembering seeing it listed under pale ales on the beer menu in the restaurant. It was pretty good.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

I had one of these yesterday (bottled) and I'm just not sure what everyone thinks is so great about this beer. Personally, I thought it was less than stellar.

I did have a New Belgium Mighty...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

At a restaurant last night I had a Green Flash West Coast IPA. It was OK. I enjoyed the grape fruit flavor of the simcoe hops but there was some other hop in there that was leaving a lingering...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Perception is reality my friend. ;)

They could be selling the absolute best beer in the world in that bottle but if you charge a premium price for it people will be more willing to pay it if it's...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Sure Utopias will be 27.5% ABV this year, but math makes me want to agree with you:

120 Minute: $0.63/oz.
Utopias: $4.81/oz. (if you're lucky enough to find it at MSRP)

They're TOTALLY...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

I had some Pliny at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver a couple months ago. It was pretty good. I can't say it was good enough to pay to have it shipped across the country though. There...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Just be careful shipping alcohol. I once sent some t-shirts to someone via USPS using an empty case as the shipping box. There was no alcohol in it what so ever and USPS returned it to me saying...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Had a Southern Tier Unearthly last night. Not a bad beer but not really my thing. I prefer my IPAs with more grapefruit flavor and this one had more of a "cat piss" thing going on. Also, the first...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Beer, cigars, it doesn't matter what you're talking about. In the end it comes down to personal preference. Just because someone says a cigar/beer is the best in the world doesn't mean you'll like...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

It's Winter Lager time now. Unless you happen upon some by sheer luck you'll have to wait until next September to get your hands on some more.

I had a bottle recently. I wasn't wowed by it. ...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Picked up two 6ers last night at the store on my way home.

Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA
Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale

I've had the 60 min before and it's one of my favorite IPA's. I've also had the 90...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

Sam IPA? They haven't made that in a while. Do you mean the Sam Imperial Pilsner? It's kind of like an IPA.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

:r

I think Cranberry Lambic is BY FAR the WORST beer Sam Adams makes (strangely I've met people who actually like it  ). I never liked SA Triple Boch either. You can still find some bottles...
