Kuru has never been found outside of New Guinea. And it was isolated to a couple of tribes who cannibalized brains as part of their funeral ritual. I dont think prions exist in marrow, only in brain...

Not sure how kuru and cannibalism come into the picture, but it sure looks good roasted and on toast. Seen it a few times on the Food Channel. :banger
